:nonono: this is all so very foul. :nonono: i hope there's some good news coming out of warriorland before all is completely said and done. i also hope that the indy, minnesota, houston or those 2 portland losses don't come back to bite us in the butt, now the west is officially more congested.

I'm declaring Jihad.

I don't care who the Lakers tamper with to aquire. We'll beat them just like we're going to beat every "superior" team the rest of the way. FYMF . . . ASMD

Just hope that the Lakers and Memphis don't have a second part to this deal coming: Odom for Miller + Filler.

Could you imagine?

Bryant
Gasol
Bynum
Miller
Farmar/Fisher

If not Miller, than likely Kidd somehow.

By not having to trade Odom in the Gasol deal, the Lakers are in an excellent position to make another big deal.

Could it be the start of the next Laker dynasty?

Ya'll gotta remember.. getting Baron for Claxton was a huge risk. Baron had BACK PROBLEMS when aqquired.

Dont compare the two.

okay, i'm gonna stop trippin for a minute here and think future-wise. our core: baron, tay, jack, AB, BWright.

it took bynum 3 years to become what he is now. he didn't play much at all his first year. got spotty minutes last year behind an oft injured brown and mihm out with injury. phil would have played him as much as don plays brandan if kwame and mihm were healthy. laker fans wanted bynum gone, said he was a bad pick and wished they'd never traded shaq. now everyone loves him.

unlike some people on this board, i don't mind don not playing wright too much this year - especially with the west so cramped. i do think being around webber will help his growth and i think wright is bwright enough to take advantage of what c-webb has to offer. i think next year will be a big year for brandan growth wise. if brandan hardly plays next year, then i'll have a problem. his 3rd year should be as impressive as bynum's, AB's, and tay's. by that time with tay, brandan AND AB?!!! we should be straight sick. eff the lakers. let stern give them or celtics however many titles he feels they should have. let the league keep denying our players/franchise all star recognition. no one can stop the warriors from fighting back.

That was my first reaction too.

I keep on forgetting the Trade Exception rules. Am I correct that the Warriors are not allowed to combine the traded exception with players to acquire a player who earns more money than JRich does?

If Memphis would only take expiring contracts and the trade exception can not be combined with players then the Warriors could not give Memphis what they wanted.

The stingy Memphis ownership just told their fans that they are not willing to be a competitive team any time soon. I wonder how the Memphis fans will react.

utter BS... I'm wondering how the dubs or the suns couldn't have offered something better. There is definitely an agenda happening in the league... Wow.

Cohan would rather have a clean balance sheet.

We're not taking on anyone who's deal lasts longer than Barons.

(and yes, I would rather have Baron)

I'll take Ellison (even though he's a prick) > Davis or Gasol.

Ellison FTW!

I'm going to write Arlen Specter and call Kobe's tampering to his attention. Congress needs to do something about this.

Seriously? That isn't sour grapes is it?

Biedrins and Gasol at C/PF would be amazing to watch and a nightmare for other teams. The team would also be much more consistent with Gasol in and Baron gone.

I thought by now you would have gotten off that wagon already Slouv?

Anyhow... I'm curious to see how this Gasol trade will fit in with the Lakers. I usually don't ask for bodily injury to anyone... but I now have no issue with this regarding the lakers.

The team will become much more of a inside team rather than a perimeter team... F* it, I don't care about the trade no mo

Gasol has yet to win a playoff game. There's something very wrong with him to have lost as much as he has. All the other "dominant" big men have changed the face of their teams and gotten them into the hunt. Gasol has most definitely not had an impact on winning to this point in his career.
