Suns Receive
Andre Miller
6-2 PG from Utah
16.2 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 6.2 apg in 36.1 minutes
Samuel Dalembert
6-11 C from Seton Hall
11.4 ppg, 10.1 rpg, 0.6 apg in 33.3 minutes
Philadelphia Receive
Marcus Banks
6-2 PG from UNLV
5.4 ppg, 0.9 rpg, 1.1 apg in 13.0 minutes
Shawn Marion
6-7 SF from UNLV
15.8 ppg, 9.9 rpg, 2.1 apg in 36.6 minutes
Atlantas 1st round draft pick
Why for phoenix, well this answers all the suns fans gripes. A legitimate defensive big who can average 10rp and 2bpg replacing marion in that sense, start him and allow amare to go to PF and become the dominant force in a more half court oriented system, increading his minutes by 10pg due to no longer being in foul trouble, probably averaging 28 and 11 and showing more of his great weak side help defense. Andre Miller gives us almost a perfect backup for steve nash with great scoring ability and passing skills, really there isnt a better available PG option out there for phoenix.
Why for philadelphia
whilst they take on the 15million owing on banks contract the next 3 years, they lose the 40 owing on dalamberts. they get a great professional in marion to teach their young guys who will no doubt opt out and give them the cap space they want to rebuild in the offseason. Throw into that the Atlanta draft pick which could well still be a lottery pick and there is incentive there for philly to do the deal
if need be we could give them strawberry and or tucker?
thoughts?

If we do anything with the Sixers, I want Iguodala. I don't know if they want to pay him in the off season.
Dalembert
Iguodala
Miller
4
Marion
Barbs
Marion probably opts out or can be traded on draft day.

yeah, i don't JUST want Iggy. he would have to come with Daly.
I like Iggy to start at the 2, with Bell coming off the bench. He is a much better defender than Barbs. He is also going to demand a lot more money in the offseason.
Nash/Miller
Iggy/Bell
Diaw/Hill
Stat/
Daly/Skinner
we would be a legit 9 deep, if need be, I am sure we could move Miller to save some cash also.

If we move Miller a 3 way trade could be worked out:
Sixers get -
Ira Newble
Cedric Simmons
Shawn Marion
Leandro Barbosa
Atl pick
Cavs get -
Andre Miller
Suns get -
Dalembert
Iguodala
Damon Jones
Sixer - Get expiring/cap space, young big in Cedric Simmons, Barbosa and possible draft pick.
Cavs - Gets a PG they have been cherishing.
Suns - Gets Daly to play C, Iguodala to handle the point when Nash sits and Damon Jones to be the spot up shooter.

Are there any slightly more athletic and younger versions of Kurt going around?
Good defending bigs are extremely hard to find without giving up a lot. With the trade above it allows Amare to play PF while Daly plays C and guard Duncan/Gasol/KG etc which Iggy can defend the guards and handle the ball.

i don't want to see ATL's pick moved. i don't care what we get back. Atlanta is tanking it! no matter who we bring in, it it no guarantee for the future. but, knowing the Suns run of luck from the coin toss on; if we move that pick, Atlanta will fall further and somehow it will end up in the top 3.
personally, if you gave me a choice of being middle of the pack in the West the rest of the season with the hope that LA, and SA won't stay healthy or one will knock the other off AND WE GET A TOP THREE PICK IN NEXT SUMMER'S DRAFT I WOULD BE EXTREMELY HAPPY.
How about Beasley as a compliment to Amare, yeah, he is not a 7 footer, but I would role with it!

They're not gonna give up 2 young guns for 1 young gun and someone who may walk after this season.
I would love Iggy here but I don't think that's realistic. Furthermore, they would have no-one at C if they made they moved.

If they move Miller to Cavs they can get Simmons who will play C there, with Marion they get cap space and chance to get more with a S&T. Ofcourse the chance of the trade happening in none.

I think Andre would be fine here. I would rather have our backup pg be a floor general and not a shooter then the other way around. Guys like Andre make players better. He would help LB, GH, and Skinner. Dally would be a huge upgrade over Skinner. I don't like his contract but it would be interesting to see him in our offense.
