because they've shown they can come back from deficits and don't quit/pack it in.

I am not going to say the Sky is falling but last few games reminds me of the losing streak before the Huge winning streak happened. I am not going to say the Blazers MUST make a trade but i really feel it would not hurt. However this team needs to start attacking the basket and not trying for jump shots. Also this team needs to play like Roy WILL NOT save them. They seem to always think ok we can play crappy to Average and Roy will swoop in and bring us back. Also LA needs to play inside and not JUST rely on jumpers.

It's awfully easy to look and laugh at these posts (I know I've made 'em too) after the fact, when the Blazers pull off some crazy miracle comeback. But c'mon, you can't deny the Blazers are stinking it up right now. :) We can all hope for another crazy comeback though!

I am not saying they won't come back, but Portland being down to the Knicks at home nonetheless is kind of humiliating. Upsets happen, this I realize, but these are games Portland SHOULD win. They have no energy, and Roy (even though he is hurt) needs to step up a little bit more. One positive is that Aldridge is getting his groove back apparently.

No I don't think you can deny that they are having a bad night so far. But I don't think you can deny that the dramatic woe is me shut it down this is so horrible horrible horrible is over the top and reaching the point of annoying.

I guess I could understand being angry over a slump or having bad nights if we were the Spurs/Suns/Mavericks, but we're not. What we are is a young team that no one expected to do anything this year except lose and get another mid lottery pick while waiting for Oden.

Yet here we are with a credible record, an all-star, young guys that are showing progress and some that are hitting the wall (which should have been expected).

So if we could stop with the dramatic the world is ending the sky is falling chicken little entitlement syndrome issues that'd be cool.

edit:

Also if the shot clock issues could be resolved that'd be peachy.

I don't think it's any worse than all of the crazy over the top optimism, but to each his/her own.

Anyway, let's hope the crowd gets fired up. Also, Roy's fingers are clearly affecting him in this game. I hope he heals up fast!

I understand where you are coming from, and you are right that a slump like this is expected considering how young we are. I guess I am frusterted for two reasons: One, I have high expectations of the Blazers with how well they are doing this season and B, I didn't think the Knicks of all teams would do what they have been doing to us.

Luckily, we are making a nice little run now.

Oh, and I agree about the shot clock stuff. I think it kinda killed the Blazer momentum when it first got screwed up. Here's to a second half with no shot clock problems! (Except right at the beginning of the 3rd. ha.)

Yeah, rebounding is killing us this game. It's not really Randolph that's doing it either, the Knicks are just doing good rebounding as a team.

Pathetic rebounding effort, we do so well on stopping them the first time, and Portland just lets New York rebound the ball for the put back.

I really hate to say this but this team is not a playoff team. This team cannot rebound and it shoots outside shots way to much. KP says he does not want to MESS with Chemistry and he does not want to go away from the plan. I respect this and all and agree but i think KP owes it to the fans to TRY and look for a Trade. It kind of ticks me off when i hear he has not been trying to look for options to improve this team VIA trade. Now to be fair the last part i believe Barrett or Rice said about KP not looking and He could be wrong.

Also i ask the fans to think about being open to trading a Webster OR Sergio or Jack cause chances are 2 of the 3 are going to be gone come the summer anyways.

attack the rim like jack did when shots aren't falling, not keep on jacking up 3pt shots
