Who's on a non-believer?
I just want public record of who's on the Laker bandwagon and who's a non-believer so when everything goes down in the next few monehs and into May/June I can say "I told ya so".
Please clearly proclaim your position here.
Do you believe the Lakers are contenders.
I'll keep the list updated but this is what I've found so far:
Believers
------------
BGil
Phil Jackson
Triangle Theory
LakerFanMan

and how am i a non believer?? i just said they arent a lock for the finals, sorry. i still think theyre behind SAS and Phoenix, kill me, they havent played a game together.
In the thread on the Boston forum you're talking about Denver and GS taking us to 7 games. That qualifies as a non-believer.

I'd oucnt you as a believer. Non-believers are people now hating on Pau because he's a Laker... people saying he's not going to make us any better... saying Denver and GS will take us to 7 games etc.
Contention is the minimum level to be considered a believer.

Ah, so one can even expect that the Lakers will win, but if they believe that other good teams will put up a fight, they are non-believers.
I consider the Lakers, along with the Spurs, Pistons and Celtics, to be the foremost contenders for a title, with little to separate the four. The Suns and Mavs could very well also win, though I would slot them just below the four previously mentioned.
I guess that makes me a virulent non-believer.
Edit: posted this before seeing your response.

**** your asterisk.

and what i said is that says you guys arent RUNAWAY favorites, like i said there, dont get too far ahead of yourself. . apparently you didnt get that point
and would i not be a believer in the celtics if i thought the nets or magic could take them to 7 games???

So saying a team we swept and destroyed without Gasol could take us to 7 games is logical? I doubt Denver homers would even claim that now.
Saying a team that's beaten us ONCE in two years is going to take us to 7 games is logical? GS homers probably won't even claim that.
Don't act like you didn't say it:

Yes, saying the Nets would take the Celts to 7 games qualifies as a non-believer. They're 20-27 right now.
