Anthony Carter deserves some recognition, he has come up in the clutch time after time this season for the Nuggets. I'm sure he has hit at least three game winners.

request : Anybody have a link to that 4th quarter scoring ? I did find multiple articles stating James is leading it, what i would like is the sctual table/the actual source for that. This is driving me nuts, that not one of theese articles contains a link. Well, i know for a fact that many writers simply copy from other writers, but still ...

Turk in a runaway. Thief mentioned that he had 14 (15 now I gues counting the Philly win) game winning (not buzzer beating) baskets this season.

Where do you get these stats anyway? I was wondering about most 4th quarter points...

Let's see....

Magic at Bulls - Hedo Turkoglu hits game-winning jumper with 0.7 seconds left.

Magic vs. Celtics - Hedo Turkoglu hits game-winning three-pointer.

Magic at Sixers - Hedo Turkoglu hits two game-winning free throws.

Hedo is also among the lead leaguers in 4th quarter scoring, prompting his nickname, "Mr. 4th Quarter".

Is there still even a question?

Yes there is

Thats funny. Its all opinion as far as who it is, and I would say Outlaw and Hedo have both been the top 2 but to say that its Hedo and nobody else is close is ridiculously wrong

http://youtube.com/watch?v=8EXDa1j-FPY (Memphis game winning shot)

http://youtube.com/watch?v=EzckjCIzlO4 (Atlanta game winning shot)

http://youtube.com/watch?v=am8rOYsjiO8 (Denver game saving block)

http://youtube.com/watch?v=WVKrAEd4eHw (Toronto 4 point play down 4 with 16 sec. left)

http://youtube.com/watch?v=jH-4Ucv_Uos (game tying, overtime forcing shot last night against NY)

Not even close huh?? :crazy:

My argument was not based around game-winning shots. Travis Outlaw does not average as many points in crunch-time, and does not really "lead" his team to victories. He has made good shots at the end of games, yes, but that isn't all that factors in "clutchness".

He also buried a 3 to help us win @ Miami.. we were up by like 1 or 2 but he sealed the deal.

Where are the stats telling averages for points in crunch time? Id like to see it. I was actually looking for it a week or so ago and couldnt find anything on it. Outlaw has actually "lead" the Blazers to quite a few victories. He has also gotten the nickname "Mr. 4th Quarter" here in Portland. Outlaw take his game to a whole other level when the 4th quarter starts. Outlaw is a HUGE reason why the blazers are 6-1 when the game is decided by 3 points or less. The only loss came to Lebron and the Cavs on that last second layup by James.

No disagreement that Turk has been great, but 15? The Magic only have nine wins by fewer than five points.

Outlaw is the other obvious choice; poking around 82games' 'clutch' stats (scoring in the final five minutes, game within five points) for guys that might not hit buzzer-beaters, but really step up late:

-Jose Calderon scores at a 32.1 point/48 minute pace on .711 eFG% in late-game scenarios;
-Morris Peterson: 31.7/48, .875% eFG, though playing only a fraction of late-game minutes);
-Stephen Jackson: 35.5/48, .618 eFG%.

For those curious, the much-maligned Lamar Odom is shooting an eFG under 30% down the stretch...

My guess is that the guy just phrased it wrong. As a Magic fan who watched all of the games so far, he's had at least 10 (probably 14 or 15 as thief said, because I don't doubt him) games in which he made extremely clutch shots that turned the momentum around.

Travis Outlaw has been clutch as well, making crucial plays, but as much as Hedo? I think not, "Buddy" :wink:

?

I didn't say that Outlaw was as clutch...just that, along with Turk, he was an obvious choice to be mentioned in a thread like this..."Buddy".

I'll be a Raps homer and throw Calderon's name out there. He's not top of the league, but Jose has definitely hit his share of daggers this year (which is wonderful for us, because when he started with us 2 years ago he was a horrid shooter).
