The Road To Denver

These are the players we seem to be interested in (if you believe rumors)... discuss the news about them or who we could offer to make them nuggets before the trade deadline.

Info: I didn't add J.Kidd because the trade for him seems to be more of a dream than reality.

in my eyes we have a chance to get both, Miller... and Cassell. If we can make those two trades without trading away A.I., Melo, Camby, Nene, Najera... then i see us at the same level like the Lakers after the gasol trade.

Miller... and Cassell would both be great picks up's to the team help shooting alot but still need that post player that can score down low ??

Cassell is pretty worn down. They should hire him as a coach though.

I'd take either Miller or Artest, or both, provided we didn't have to give up any major pieces.

Miller gives the outside shooting we need, and Artest gives us a great defender plus scoring.

Ron and Sam make the most sense. Ron provides that much needed perimeter 'D' which takes pressure off the scorers on our end, which may result in better shots. Ron also provides as much bulk as we can find at his position and in some situations likes to post.

Sam improves our shooting and decision making, plus it's a bonus that he's tutelaging here under his buddy Karl - that's a good next step for him if he's going to go into assistant coaching.

Miller would provide great shooting, and he makes his size work for him, but if we had to pick two, Ron and Sam.

We have Melo and Iverson on the wings, so there isn't much room for Artest or Miller. We need a point with size and a respectable 3-point shot. Cassell would be a great pickup if he was waived, but isn't worth trading for. I'd like us to trade fore Delonte West. He's cheap, unhappy in Seattle, and would be a nice fit with Iverson.

Nene provides that. Let's hope he can come back and contribute.

Right now, I think it'll be Artest for a package of JR/Najera/Picks, though they may ask for Kleiza instead of JR.

If a deal like that went through then I don't see where Cassell would fit in, unless we could somehow dump off Atkins, as we'd still have AC off the bench.

Artest is opting out, no way in hell we add a pick.

I'd love to get Miller, he can finally bring some consistent 3 point shooting to the game. If we make a deal for him I'd send Najera and JR + a second rounder for Miller.

Sad part about it is if we give up Najera, we had better get some 3 point shooting or someone who can help set up long range better, because Najera is our leading 3 pt shooter.

And you send JR, that leaves Kleiza as pretty much the sole spot up 3 pt shooter except for Melo and Camby.

Not unless we get Miller with Kleiza staying. AI can hit 1 every game (he usually goes for 1 early in the game), Melo might spot up, its still not as stacked with 3 pointers like Suns, but with Miller it gives us bettershooting.

I would take all three....but Ron Ron's gonna bring that perimeter defense that is nearly non-existant, and of course that always sparks everyone else and gets them into defense.

Just need someone who you plug in there and he just helps the team flow.

Miller would do well shooting-wise, but so would Cassell and Cassell would immediately replace the Atkins problem and provide more pg leadership.

Miller's not going to necessarily improve the organization of the team on the floor although he does move well without the ball.

Damn, take all three.

Is the question: what is most likely, or what is most prefered?

What's most likely is Cleveland signs Sam Cassell, San Antonio signs Mike Miller, and Miami signs Ron Artest.
