Gerald Green "12 feet may be a little too short for me&

Post#1 » by DiplomaticMagic » Sat Feb 2, 2008 11:09 pm

Gerald Green: For Dwight to get in it again, I know he has to have something real sick, so I'm curious what that is.

NBA.com: Rudy posted his first dunk blog yesterday, and he said if Dwight puts the basket at 12 feet, Dwight should just leave it there so he can do his dunk. What do you think of that?

Gerald Green: I don't know, I might see if they can raise mine to 13 feet. I think 12 feet might be a little too short for me.Gerald Green: I don't know if they knew, but I don't know who won the dunk contest last year. Who won it? I'm not really sure. I just want those guys to know who won it last year. I think Dwight knows who won it. I don't know, but I'm just sayin' Like I said, I'm going in as the underdog. I like that battle.

Isn't the top of a regulation backboard 13 feet?

If so, he's saying he can jump up and dunk over the top of a backboard, let alone touch it?

And again, if so, then omg what a badass.

It'd be more impressive for them to strap a rim to the top of the backboard if that's the case. I'm not sure how obvious it'd be to us that he's dunking on a 13 ft rim from TV land.

Whatever.

He barely cleared Nate Robinson last year.

But the only reason these fags are saying that is because they know the league already rejected it or because they don't know how to do math. Dwight has pretty much the same vertical as them, but he's taller and his arms are longer. Rudy's vertical is barely over 40" and Green's is only a little higher Rudy's. No way any of them can do that. lol I hope the NBA calls them out and actually agrees to raising the rim.

i think he's just joking around. it's tough to see the context in which he's saying it. He could've been saying it in a jokeful manner ya know? Obviously he can't dunk on a 13 foot rim, no one can. No one can even touch 13 feet, let alone put a ball over it.

The dunk contest should be quite a show...but I honestly believe only Dwight can dunk on a 12ft rim.

I'm pretty sure the league is letting Dwight and anyone else who wants to, raise the rim, I think that was a stipulation for Dwight to parttake in this dunk contest.

Gerald Green sucked last year, I'm sorry. He's going to get schooled by Dwight and Moon.

Gerald Green could get 12 feet no question. But 13. Yeah right.
