I just realized the reason I didn't realize Zach got booed all game was because I had my headphones on and was listening to music for good luck while watching the game (TV On The Radio was the reason we won this game, by the way).
So you'll excuse me Fitz as I take my foot out of my mouth.

Oh yeah maybe the same Zach quote in the New York Post...
"With all the booing will you be able to play?"
"I get booed at home too, it won't be no different."
And all the Knicks fans coming here, you guys are incredibly classy. It goes a long way about your character to stay so loyal and supportive to the organization. For those of us who held out through the past years, this Blazer team goes out for us. And I fully expect the same to happen to the Knicks, the good fans out there will get what they deserve eventually.

Agreed zach didn't deserve to be booed. He may have been a black hole but he gave it his all and was trying to get us the W. Plus as stated earlier he worked his arse off to get back on the court. Anyways I'm sooo glad roy had a trip-dubie on national tv, maybe that will quiet some of the critics of his asg selection. Last but not least my man crush on David lee is even greater now
David Lee would be a GREAT addition to this team.

Myabe I didnt make my point clearly. My point is that for a bunch of people supposedly so concerned with class, it seems ironic for them to do something as classless as booing somebody.
Booing is classless? I'd say booing in some situations is classless. Booing a player limping off the court.... booing Santa Claus... booing the national anthem.
But booing an opposing player that had a bad history when he used to play on your team is not classless to me. It's just fans showing their disapproval in the most innocuous possible way.

When you think of class, booing is pretty damn far from the top of the list of classy things to do. Seems to me the classy thing to do would be to move on and wish him the best.

Boo a bad call, boo a flagrant foul, boo someone who has bashed the franchise, but dont boo the guy who wanted to be here. Dont boo the guy who never said a bad thing about this place. Dont boo the guy who still calls this place home. Look at all the guys the came up to talk with him when they were warming up. EVERYONE. Roy was over at his house the night before visiting. That guys a jerk!

As far as the assertions that he wasn't violent or abusive, he punched a teammate, was reportedly involed in a dog fighting incident, was known to berate teammates after losses while refusing to accept responsibility himself, and he was involved in at least two shooting incidents. On the subject of respecting his coach, that may be true but its clear he didn't respect Nate to the point that he was willing to sacrifice his stats for the good of the team.
I would have to say that punching Ruben Patterson is something many players probably would have liked to do. Zach was just dumb enough to let his emotions go and actually did it...
Where did you hear of Zach having off court chemistry issues with his team mates, and berating them after losses? I have never heard anything like this. Every interview I ever saw (quite a boatload) I never heard him place any blame on his team mates, and in cases where he hadn't played well himself he would openly say so. While some of his team mates I'm sure didn't care for his style of play on court, everythng I've ever heard was that they all liked and got along fine with him off court and in the locker room.
What was the dog fighting incident Zach was involved in? I don't recall ever hearing of him being involved in any dog fighting...
For the record, I think booing Zack was classless myself. I put most of the blame for that on the idiot Canzano and his BS.

And that's a reason to give him an ovation or to refrain from booing him how, exactly?

It was reported a number of times that the big turning point in Brandon's leadership of the team was when Zach came into a practice blaming the team's woes last season on everyone but himself and Brandon confronting him about it. He may be a great guy, but he was definitely taking a "my stuff don't stink" attitude with the team, which was part of the problem.

He was sued for assault in connection with the Qyntel Woods dog-fighting incident.

You're the first person to say such a thing in the last few days. Thank you.
