So you tell people to not place expectations on him and yet before that you say that will never likely be a full time starter again.

Although I agree with you on your last paragraph. We all just need to see what happens when he comes back and see how the PG situation shakes itself out.

Let me clarify. Don

I like Calderon more with Bosh from what I've seen, but like I said it's not fair to Ford that he had a subpar Bosh, so this is just my temporary feeling.

PG- Calderon
SG- Parker
SF- Delfino
PF - Bosh
C - Rasho

PG- Ford
SG- Kapono
SF - Moon
PF - Bargs
C- Hump/Baston (I find Hump overrated)

Gives a strong starting and bench unit, I also think Ford sets up shooters a lot better then Calderon and I can see Kapono excelling with Ford.

this i agree with. also, as a defensive thing, you don't want to have calderon and kapono together because then you have two guys who're going to get broken down off the dribble like 100% of the time.

i think ford on the bench will be a lot better look for the bench. ford can get kapono shots and he plays great with rasho.

I agree as well. When Kapono is out there with TJ at least TJ is better at keeping his man in front of him thus helping Kapono with his D.

the problem with chuckfino starting is he's too trigger happy. he'll ruin bosh's flow and take touches away from bargs.

imo the ideal starting 5 is:

TJ
AP
Kapono
Bargs
Bosh

off the bench:
Jose
Delfino
Moon
Hump or Rasho

I guess Kapono would be starting for his defense. I wouldn't imagine him wanting to get off his 50% three pointer at all.

Who would win 3 on 3, Jose, Delfino and Moon VS TJ, APand Kapono?

Thats why Id take

Jose
Delfino
Moon
Bargs
Bosh

But the real starting lineup should be:

Jose
Delfino
Bagnani
Bosh
Humphries

My lineup's a little different...

Ford/Calderon/Dixon

AP/Kapono/Dixon

Graham/Delfino/Moon

Bosh/Moon/Hump

Bargnani/Rasho/Hump

This lineup I think will prove to be the most successful for the raptors. Having Moon play PF is for something different. I think playing against opposing bench PF's, Jamario can take his game to another level. He can get past his defender IMO. He's playing against starting SF's now and he can really get past them regularly and his midrange J sucks IMO.

Having Joey in there gives the Raptors another solid mid range shooter...but also another solid FT shooter. Ford/Graham/Bosh are the Raptors 3 highest FTA players on the team and as I've always said....getting to the line is always a good thing.

Hump/Rasho is another thing....one might get a DNP, but for matchup purposes only....if we are playing a methodical team like the Jazz...it's Rasho's turn off the bench....if we are playing a team like the Suns or the Hawks....in comes Humphries.

I know most will not agree...but that's okay

Ford is the perfect PG for any player on this team. I don't understand the "Calderon plays good with this guy, and Ford plays good with this guy."

-Bargnani plays good with Ford
-Nesto gets a lot of touches from Ford
-Kapono can get open looks when TJ attacks the basket
-same for Delfino
-same for Parker
-Bosh can score by himself

TJ's ability to attack the rim with having the defence collapse creates perfect opportunity for the jumpshooters on the team.

Note: this response does not criticize Jose Calderon in any way.

No I didnt, those are the best players at those positions, Humphries is a better C than Bargnani, Bargnani is a better SF than Moon or Kapono, Delfino or AP is a toss up thats about all thats debatable but id take Delfino's D and grit over AP's on and off shooting. You play your best players. Simple.
