OT: Tonight's undeserving all-star performances

Kidd and JJ

What a pair to represent the East.

Kidd can't shoot for the life of him, JJ: 4-15 ughhh...

No wonder people laugh at the East.

Good that the Nets lost, however, just for old time's sake. Wouldn't want their schedule leading up to the all-star break. Ten below .-500? Why not.

i wouldn't light a fire under kidd because i respect him too much and i know for sure too much is happening off the court thats leading this mess.. and as for jj goes he's probably on his way to the top of my most hated list.. he's just so overrated hes shooting horrible and is asleep for 3 quarters of the game.. if anyone on that atlanta squad j-smoove should be the most deserving

I agree on Smith. If any Hawk deserved consideration, it was Josh. But the coaches who picked the reserves seemed to believe one Hawk should make it and voted for the most familiar name.

Not an all-star, but someone getting undeserved hype that's constantly played like **** is Yi.

Tonight in 30 minutes he was 1-10FG, 6 points 7 boards, 4 fouls.

He consistently gets 30mins or more and is hard pressed to produce a double digit scoring game. I can't even imagine how god awful he would be in a Raptors uniform. Thank goodness.

I watched the game. CV played so well, hustled, busted his ass on both ends. 5/12 shooting, 14 points, 6 rebounds (3 offesive), a steal all in just 18 minutes. What happens? gets the hook for Yi to come back in the game during the 4th and after that, the rockets bust the baby wide open. CV had the best +/- rating of all Bucks too. But how can the bucks not meet their "promise" and how can they not make more money by putting Yi in during the 4th as those 200 million ppl will be watching.

I find it funny how in the beginning Bucks fans were denying Yi was given a special promise and pleading their case to other fans.

Maybe if we're lucky, the bucks can take andrea off of our hands and give Yi to us so can solve all of our rebounding/defensive woes.

I hope you're enjoying life in your alternate universe where stiffs are stars and the illogical is, well, logical.

Oh, well now, leave him alone. He's somewhat damaged.

;)

EDIT: And BTW, nice idea to track the faux all-stars vs. the snubees.

im almost 100% positive he was being sarcastic

Anyway, I would reeally like to see Charlie V back on this team.

To those who say he gives up too much on defense, I dont buy it. The way things are going, I expect Bargnani to be our defensive anchor for the future. Bold statement? Yes, but Bargnani has been showing some fire lately and I can see him improving vastly in the offseason. He just lacks the strength and I can see him bulking up Darko style very soon.

As for CV, He rebounds very well and he is a threat for 20 + every night. Him and Bosh played very well together and I think there would be plenty minutes for him at the 3,4,5 spots.

If we can keep

Jose
TJ (healthy)
Delfino
Moon
Bosh
Bargnani
and add Charlie V and Roko this off season, well be contending for years to come.

do you think a package of Humphries + Kapono + first rounder would do it? We could also throw in Rasho as an expiring contract and take on one of their contracts (if they have one)

As for Parker, I say hes a great piece to this team, I just wish he wasnt on the twilight of his career. The Bucks may be looking for a smart player / motivator such as him to set Michael Redd and Mo Williams straight... But to be honest, Id trade Moon before Parker or Kapono

wow..off topic much? sorry i havent slept.

Check out Josh Childress's statline.

Childress knocked down 10 of his 11 shots from the field Saturday
night on his way to 23 points in 33 minutes. He also added six boards, four assists and two steals. (Feb 2)

i so wish bc would aquire this guy. i mean hes a guy that we can realistically get. Atlantas got like 5 sf's. He would look so good being our starting sf. and dont tell me we have nothing to give atlanta because after watching the gasol trade anything is possible.

You would think that they were taking half court shots all game long from those percentages........

I just want to say this. I am a little drunk and I may regret this.

Dagger is one of the best posters on this board. I have never seen his equal, that guy is a communicator and a half. Waht he can write in a sentence would challenge what another poster can write in a page.

This is a trait that I respect the most about this board and him as a poster. The posters that can express themselves in the fewest words are the victors.

I don't agree with dagger, but I thoroughly respect him as a poster of this board. Yes he can be rude. Yes his tolerance for stupidity is very low.

At the same time, I hate daggers disciples with a passion. I hate you guys. The man is great when it comes to logic and PR, and CBA, but observe the game for yourselves.

Dagger, we may not be on terms but I respect you, I may not agree with you. At the same time, I salute you as being one of the greatest posters of realGM. (I will challenge you, and debate you, but I will always respect your dedication)

Thats gotta be one of the more stranger statements in recent memory. Joe Johnson is the only familiar name on the Hawks? (refer to above emoticons)

I got hungry in the end.

Let us have a balanced discussion... this means discussing all possibilities.

Including opinions that may not be endorsed by common posters.

I don't know what the problem is, but it seems to me like the thread title is a big contention point. so let's give the mods the ability to NEUTRILIZE thread titles.

This means changing the topic from being to right or left.

I hate the fact that there is so much polarity when it comes to opinion. Are we the Singapore parliament? Are we going to come to blows? Forget that, lets argue and debate on equal terms.

Those that wish to leave are weak.

Who else are you thinking of, then?

Johnson is the biggest name on that team, unless I missed Shaq being traded to Atlanta or something.

He was with the high-level Phx team that many people thought might have won the championship until JJ broke his nose (it was his nose, right?). Then he was involved in that well publicized trade and has been mentioned in All-Star talk ever since.

Who else were you thinking of?

EDIT: Is that last emoticon supposed to be Eddy Curry? Sometimes eating hamburgers, sometimes disappearing?

I'm not really keen on Childress. I personally think Horford would look great on our team. Young rebounder and has lots of room to develop. I don't think Atlanta will ever trade him but you never know....

First off you guys are stupid to be slaggin JJ.

He is a player. ....ohhhh wait, he is on a sucky team and he does little.

So did Vince and Sheed in Portland.

I'm not even going to go into how you mf felt about trading for sheed.

(A good GM knows how to use talent) Bosh has never achieved anything close to Vince or Sheed, yet he is our franchise choice. I love the guy, but seriously.

Lets stop being asses about talent around the league, because our only talent this year is Moon.

(f.ck our fans are stupid, sheed, jj and gay are all worse than bargs... )
