you have to be **** kidding me...
Tyrus shows all signs of bad attitude and laziness already.
No, I'm not.

No, he doesn't show those signs at all really.
He had the one "free money" comment at the dunk contest, which was strange, but it was learned from and dealt with soon after. Thinking more of it than a strange comment by a 19 year old rookie, while being done away with after, is simply blowing it out of proportion. There hasn't been anything else where he has had a bad attitude. And, getting into a couple altercations that were pretty minor doesn't mean anything. Especially when I think, the first one wasn't even initiated by him, and the other was justified. Regardless of the specifics, both were average NBA altercations most players can and have got into. I can't be down on him for these things, especially in a sustained manner.
Laziness? Far from it. He added significant mass this past summer, and worked on his game. Practiced his jumpshot a lot, specifically. Plays with energy.
He's far from a finished player. Getting erratic playing time, thus erratic play, combined with being young, raw, and just having a year and a half in the NBA. Whether that's a bust or not.
I can't write him off, this early. Nobody legitimately can, either. Things have to change with him in order for that prediction/position to have credibility. It's just too early with the inconsistent oppurtunity and showings, in just a season and a half.

That's fair. But I'm of the opposite until he's multiple years into his career, and this emerges.

Also, for future discussion, for anybody who doesn't like Tyrus, they have to be against trades w/ him involved (until he's not a realistic option anymore). Including involving Ron Artest, in a potential three-way deal, of course. Not referring to the one last fall, just as a general possibility.

Tyrus has actually had 4 significant games since this game. Especially at the Warriors (against a small team, but, he still did what he did, and was big in the 4th qtr), and vs. the Nuggets, last night (18 pts, 11 rebs, 4 ast, 2 stl, 3 blk, 1 TO).
And now, with Ben Wallace and Joe Smith dealt, Tyrus will get an increased and regular oppurtunity to develop and emerge more than he already has (partly why that trade was done). It at least, certainly favors for him to do well, and I'm excited to see it.
