Question: Will Pau Gasol play for LA Lakers this afternoon?

Answer: No. He's passed his physical and is with the team in DC. However, he's missed 3 of 4 games with a sore back and he will rest his back today. Also, he has to learn the triangle offence.

No. See my post above. :D

This is in the LA Times:

Gasol passed his physical but said he did not think he would play today against Washington. He has a sore back that kept him out of three of his last four Grizzlies games, and he is not overly familiar with the triangle offense, other than running against it a few times in practice when preparing to play the Lakers

see, the lakers are killing the wizards too (with jamison and caron) kobe has 19 points on 6-8 shooting in the FIRST QUARTER. i guess kobe is a wizards killer too .

ps for all you people who said kobe only goes off on the raptors and "loves" to kill the raptors, he does this against every team.

The Lakers is the team to beat for the championship right now. Other teams in the West have to make a move to get better.

Should make for a great playoffs.

I just saw Pau fooling around on the sidelines...this team looks incredibly dangerous. I predict Kobe goes off, but under control for the rest of the season. I think he really believes he's got a shot now. Uh oh.

Kobe is motivated with the addition of Pau. This guy loves to kill, he smells blood and pounces and with Pau on his side he's just licking his chops to destroy anything in his way. Expect a run from them.

Kobe is by far the best player in the league because of that streak. They will be potent and Jackson is the ultimate star's coach. He knows how to manage egos and make everyone feel important and he gets the game from both a big man's perspective and a guard's. With Lamar and Pau on the blocks and their passing instincts, a motivated Kobe and an improving Bynum, the Lakers dynasty is back and will be potent

Even though the Lakers smashed us on Friday night. They're helping us out right by smashing the wizards for us.

Kobe is playing at another level right now. The Lakers are one scary team.

I can't believe they still have things to talk about on the Super Bowl pre game show. I wonder if anyone has actually been watching since noon.

I love Kobe, you can hate all you want but he's the Man.

So back to the topic. I'm happy he killed the Wiz too, I don't know why people act like we are the only team he kills makes no sense. He had 39 against Pistons.

To me Lakers are the best team in the West now. They are going to be a scary team. Kobe has that game face again taking over games and trying to score 40-50 on people as*.

The Mavericks need to make a trade or else they'll be one and done come playoff time. I like Devin Harris but if you can get Jason Kidd, you got to pull the trigger.

At this point, I don't think Kidd would do them any good. Harris is a better defender right now, and with all the triple doubles, Kidd can't make a jump shot to save his life.
