Don't look now, but..

..the Jazz are only 3.5 games out of the TOP SPOT in the West. They definitely have a chance to make some major noise come playoff time. Come to think of it, the 8 seed in the west right now is only like 4.5 out... and if the playoffs started today ALL EIGHT TEAMS would have winning percentages over .600 The number of quality teams in the west this season is sick. Best basketball I've seen in awhile really.... I mean, its quite astonishing. Anyway, what are some of your guys' thoughts on the Jazz's chances of getting a top 2 or 3 spot in the conference, as well as the quality of teams in the west and how thats all shaking out this season?

The picture will start to become clearer after the all-star break. IMO, Portland will fade, San Antonio will get hot, Phoenix will stay strong. New Orleans will fade off a tad. Houston is the team to look out for as well as the Jazz. Even crazy @$$ Hollinger says we have an easier 2nd half schedule then a lot of teams. Itll be interesting to see how LA responds too. Should be interesting. I think the picture will become more clear though.

I think realistically our only great chance is to win our own division and get the 4th seed, although that is no guarantee we get home court in the first round just like last season.

CP3 is as good as advertised, I dont see the Hornets falling too far. Lakers just got better, they could win the whole thing. Suns and Spurs will be in the mix until Duncan and Nash are gone. Mavs are the team I think could fall a bit. Im just hoping the Nuggets and Blazers fall hard...would be nice to seal the NW division title for the 2nd straight season....
