Game Time: 7:00PM EST

Records
Sixers: 18-29 (Lost 1 Straight)
Hawks: 19-24 (Won 1 Straight)

Previous Meetings
Dec. 3rd @ PHI: Hawks 88, Sixers 79

Probable Starters

The game could go either way and while I like the Sixers a little bit in this game, I think the Hawks somehow win this one hence...

My Prediction: Hawks by 3+

beasley bowl just sounds odd.
I get to see alot of the hawks and unfortunately we have a good shot of winning this one... sixers by 2.

Beasley Bowl does sound odd which is why the name was changed to the Beasley Race which is sort of a play off of CBS 3's Beesley Reese. It's best I could come up with on the fly. Anyone have something better for Beasley??

yeah i was just trying to think hmm....beasley battle, beasley bananza, beasley bash. all of them just aren't as good as the rose bowl.

I think just stick with the Rose Bowl. No reason to change the name based on the current hot prospect, since the pecking order really won't be declared until after the season anyway.

I think there's no chance Thad doesn't start this game. Thad/Josh Smith is a really interesting match up. Unfortunately I think this is one where Thad gets outclassed athletically.

What's amazing, is you combine the teams, and it would still be mediocre.

Call it "The Beasley Tease" cause we won't be getting him.

Thad has a great match up for this game. Josh Smith vs. Thad. It will be intersting to see how he plays. My predicition for the game sixers will win by 7.

Mediocre is a "bad average". That team would in the entire NBA be a "good average" at WORST team. That team would definitely be better than Cleveland, Portland, and Golden State. I see no reason why they couldn't make the finals if everything was hitting on all cylinders. That would be the best rebounding team in the league.

mediocre \me`di*o"cre\ (m[=e]`d[i^]*[=o]"k[~e]r), a. [F.
m['e]diocre, L. mediocris, fr. medius middle. See Mid.]
Of a middle quality; of but a moderate or low degree of
excellence; indifferent; ordinary.

I would say that team would be of middle quality with a chance to develop into something special if Thad and Horford reached their ceilings.

By the way, can anyone help me out here? I want to make the white backgrounds on the Rose Bowl logo and Comcast logo transparent but I don't feel like digging through Gimp 2.0 to try and find out how to do it.

Can someone help me with this??

That imaginary team's frontcourt play and backcourt play are too solid to be just an average team. I didn't even take into consideration any potential of the young players. I just based everything off of what the players are doing right now. That team would be much better than Orlando.

Why are we talking about adding Joe Johnson and Holford? It would never happen. Can we get back to the game thread? i think we win this one.
Andre Miller is a bad 3pt shooter.

I'm getting the vibe that you are happy about this.

As for the game, I wonder how Lou will play. Will he have a below radar game in Atlanta or will be blow up since it's his homecoming?

Does anyone see Lou as a future starter for this team or are we in agreement that he'll be best served as a 6th man or 1st guard off of the bench?
