Contracts Aside

Post#1 » by IggyTheBEaST » Sun Feb 3, 2008 12:41 am

Put them in the correct order:

What player do you think would fit best on the sixers?

Beidrins

Emeka Okafor

Josh Smith

OR

Michael Beasley

I know right now we have no chance at getting beasley(all 3 are gonna be tough), but I think the question still applies. Beasley is a tremendous talent, but Emeka and Josh are both PROVEN and have shown to be tremendous defenders.

I would like Okafor first then Beasley and last Smith...I think Smith is going to be a problemkid as soon as he gets his big contract...

Josh Smith.

Okafor is an injury waiting to happen. I'd rather have Biedrins.

beasley
okafor
smith
beidrins (would be higher than smith but i don't like the mix of him and daly)

Beasley is the only one that gives us what we need, a true 1st option. I would be happy with okafor but our offense wouldn't benifit.
They say an analytics man doesn't have a heart, but I ran the numbers and nothing can be further from the truth - Sam Hinkie probably

We need a star. We can make the pieces fit with trades later.

If Beasley has the best chance to be a star, then Beasley has to be your choice. Then if in 3 years Iguodala, Young and Beasely are all good but don't fit it should be easy to trade a good young player for a vet who is a better fit.

If you are getting a vet you have to worry about fit, because they likely will be overpaid and harder to move (think Webber), but you can never have enough good young talent.

Look at the Bulls- they have a bunch of good young players who don't fit. I have no doubt that a capable GM can quickly turn over those pieces into a good team that does fit (and win) in the next two years.

This team needs that one player on offence to take over in the 4th quarter iggy is def. not the man for that job. I like beasley, bc he has great inside/outside scoring ability. And he is a future allstar in the making for many years to come. Most of the other players listed dont have that type of status.

You're right, we truly need a STAR. A BIG ONE! And, I would think Beasley would be our best option.

Beasley is super young, talented and can grow with out other youngsters. Plus we can train him to work as we wish and fit into the team. That's invaluable.

Absolutely Beasley #1 option. We need a 4 who can score. Oakfor, Biedrins both known for D and have very little versatiliy on offense. Smith playing PF like a SF. Beasley is the best option to pair with Dalembert IMO.

Jamison or Randolph.

Don't worry, that builds character and you can never have too much character...

We have next to no shot of obtaining all 4 of those players so why not include other non-attainable names like Amare Stoudemire, LaMarcus Aldridge, and Dwight Howard??

Aside from Beasley, what other PF in this draft has the most potential to become a star in this league?

Here are some other random names to throw out there.....

Blatche(SendEm's guy)
Bass
Maxiell
David Lee
Amir Johnson

Does anyone see any of these players becoming good/all star PF's in this league?

Blatche is fundamentally disabled. Bass is a beast but really relies on his athleticism too much. Maxiell would be great as would Lee but Amir is the guy out of the bunch id covet the most. Hes just an absolute monster.
