My Mem/Orl trade to finish blowing this thing up.

Interestingly a Magic fan suggested the same trade. It would include their '08 first.

Good luck trying to convince the Magic to take on those contracts.

A Magic fan proposed the same trade without me knowing it. They want Miller and need another PG. To do that, they would have to take Cardinal.

And I wish people would realize West retired after last season.

Forget Miller, I want Darko back. Would Memphis take expirings or do they like Darko? I see he has been underwhelming for the season, but I still see a lot in this guy for some reason.

Orlando would definately take on the contract of Cardinal and Miller..especially if Lowry were included!

bg, there's a conspiracy going around that West "help" the deal go through to benefit both sides. For the Lakers, Gasol to the Lakeshow boosts the team's roster and their contender status. And puts some pressure on their Western Conference counterparts in terms of playoff time. For the Grizzlies, gaining financial stability, look like fools for the next few of yrs, and attendance continues to drop.

LOL. If there is a conspiracy, then it will be like another poster here said. Winning the lottery would be the final step in the conspiracy.

That it would. Although I doubt David Stern wants to see the Grizz getting the #1 pick considering last draft when the top three worst teams were forced to pick from the 4, 5, and 6, spots. Right now, Miami got the holds on the #1 right now.

bg, I'd be in on this trade for sure...but I'm still thinking that Money Mike goes a bit southeast of Orlando for Tricky Ricky or JWill (God forbid-I never missed Jwill for a second).

Or, to get them to take Cardinal, it's Lowry (sorry Zack)/MM/Albatross for JWIll AND tricky ricky and something else if $ render it necessary.

That gives us comfortably over $20m expiring this summer.

How about that?

Not that MIA would ever even consider that. Of course, they do suck...and might be looking to do something crazy....

FYI...

That $20m has to cover three draft picks and Navarro and Warrick before you start spending on FAs.

I don't know if Warrick makes it that long to eat up cap space money. And considering that would be money on top of what we are getting from the LA trade, I don't think Navarro and the draft picks would put any kind of dent in that. And you know as well as I do that Heisley will more than likely stand pat on "real" spending this offseason.

I thought about Miami first as well. I don't know where Miami stands now though to determine whether they would still want him or not.
