Seattle

Trade--Calderon S&T to Sonics for Wilcox/Watson or Watson/Collison + 1st rd. pick(s)-Sonics have 27th pick+33th pick in this upcoming draft in addition to their protected lottery pick.

Portland--

Trade--Calderon S&T to Blazers for Outlaw/Jack +1st rd. pick 21st currently.

Atlanta--Trade--Calderon S&T for Shelden Williams/Josh Childress + future picks.

Miami--Trade--Calderon and our 1st rd. pick for Dorell Wright + lotto pick.

So, we trade our valued PG for players that are not even better than him? We have TJ with seriouus injury concerns and a player who might possibly battle for PG minutes, so we trade Jose for Wilcox/Watson .

I personally like Horford and would be willing to part with Jose in a deal for him.

Horford + Childress for Jose, Humps, Joey, 1st pick 2009

I'd do that

No way Atlanta does though. Horford has so much more potential then Calderon, Childress is more valuable then Joey, and the pick will suck.

Horford would have probably been #1 if he went out in Bargnani's year. A future 20/10 player with good character. They need a PG, but they can get a decent/good one for cheaper.

We should trade Calderon as soon as possible, seeing as how T.J.'s health is such a sure thing.

Which is why I don't understand these trades. Even if TJ comes back soon, he is always a risk. Keep em both.

I agree. Horford is likely untouchable at this point. But I would do that trade. Even sweeten the pot a bit.

Joe Johnson + Horford for Jose + Bosh

I've seen this thrown around a few times and I like it. IMO, Bosh is the best player, followed by JJ + Horford, closely followed by Jose who plays one of the most difficult positions to fill. Not sure how it adds up in the checker.

Williams ...... Horford
Bosh ....... Bargs
Smith ....... AP
Marvin ....... JJ
Jose ....... TJ

Not sure where Marvin plays in this lineup.

Risky for both teams by the looks of it. Still interesting though. I wonder if Bargs gets in the groove if we could some how swing Horford for him.

Bargs + Jose for Horford + Childress + first pick.

Bargs..........Horford
Smith...........Bosh
Williams.......Childress
JJ................AP
Jose..............TJ

A Bosh/Horford combo would be nice.

Before folks flame me, know that I am bored on a sunday just throwing out ideas.

Lets Trade X player for Y and Z player

Ford/Y
AP/Delfino
Z/Moon/Graham
Bosh/Humps
Bargs/Rasho

OMG... that lineup would win us a championship... get 'er done BC

Joe Johnson for Rasho and Caldy (oh go on, throw in Delfino if you want) would be a nice straight up trade.

Atlanta gets a nice pass first point guard who give everyone shots and they rebuild under Josh Smith as the franchise. With Caldy's envitable pay raise and Rasho's expiring should fix any salary deformities.

Joey could get more burn too with Rasho gone as Hump would become the defacto backup center.

Why should we trade Caldy?

I don't understand why we need two point guards. I mean Roko would be a sufficient back up for Ford, and Caldy has a higher trade potential than Ford and Ford is still a young kid and will still be a 65-70+ game guy unless he gets thumped in the face and lands on his head.

Seriously. Horford + JJ for Calderon + Bosh is the dumbest trade I have ever seen. I probably wouldn't even do a Horford + JJ for Bosh trade straight up.

Ya, ok, it's a dumb trade. :swami: I just like JJohnson and think Horford will be good.

But considering Bosh + Caldy are our best players. Not bright.

I'm tired, and couldnt read the whole thread.. my 2 cents

Jose will not be traded at deadline. BC will only actively look for a S+T in the summer for something he wants, BUT this is under the assumption that Ford returns this season and shows he can still play. Most likely senarios is we sign him outright quick (reasonable offer starting 8million) as Jose will prolly want his contract situation off his mind to concentrate on Olympic preperation in the summer OR ... another team gets Jose to sign an offer sheet and we match.... if BC is interested in a sign and trade then it will be for alot more then the OP's original trade ideas.

Under those situations (Bosh-high level, TJ-good level, increaseing thruout season, Bargs-showing glimpses), I think trading Jose would be our best option, as he would be worth ALOT.

Seattle has nuthing we would be interested in... (KD not going)

Portland... would have to start with Webster/LA to initially get me interested.....

Miami .... nuthing really there to trade for (Wade not going)...

Atlanta ... would have to start with Marvin/Horford or JJ (if they want to shed salary in summer, but under that situation they would have to take back our small dead weight contract in Rasho, expiring at seasons end next year) ... highly unlikely since they would be busy re-signing Josh Smith.

Jose will not be traded for quantity ... if u make a move to trade him u essentially are hopeing for a 1 for 1 trade in essence for 1 good quality player (non PF, non PG, mostly likely non C also)

and please stop with the Bosh/Jose 4 JJ/Horford trade .. I prolly wouldnt even trade Bosh for JJ/Horford ... if u think its a viable option you dont have a clue about relative player values.... basically Jose value is alot more then some of those proposals, and we prolly wont get a suitable one rite now, we wont trade Jose for "Good Prospects" ....

I'd say we sign him in the offseason season ... then hopefully TJ comes along and starts playing well this season/early next... then u have the option of flipping Jose + Rasho(a then expiring) for a full all star wing.... to pair with All-Star Bosh, Solid TJ, and upcoming Bargs (hopefully) ..... I'm wondering what BC is gonna do with Rasho expiring contract at next year approaching deadline, if theres a (Kwame-Pau) option for a wing player on the table u just take that, and keep Jose also
