I agree that Denver shouldn't trade for Kidd. Dallas should though. He's still got it imo, his deal only goes 'til '09 (they could save money getting him!) and Terry/Harris are both overrated. Give one of them, maybe Diop and someone else and do it. Dallas is on the decline and needs to make a run soon.
I still wouldn't give up on Harris. Sure, his jumper is broken but he's lightning quick and plays pretty strong on-the-ball D.
Plus, he's young. Kidd, while still effective this year, is done soon. I wonder how he'll do with giving up his alpha dog status when it becomes clear he's no longer a top tier lead guard.
I think Dallas has to look at Miami right now: is one championship worth the sacrifice? If they think they can get it done with Kidd and that it's worth the cost, long-term (an opinion I obviously don't share), then I think they make the move.
