Ron Artest- When Culture is Good, Can you take a chance?

I think if you had Artest, Roy, Aldridge, and Oden you might have the best defensive team ever.. Roy is a stud defender, as is oden.. And Artest is arguably the best (or top 2 w/ bowen 1 on 1 defender in the league)..

A webster/Outlaw + filler for artest deal would be outstnading for the blazers going forward

It's still too soon to bring on someone as volatile as Artest. And I certainly wouldn't move Outlaw for him.

I'm surprised you didn't offer Greg Oden for him.

There was a time that Artest was the best 2 way player in basketball. That time has passed, the current incarnation of Ron-Ron is a selfish head case, who's injury prone and borderline lazy. His negatives outway his positives at this point Ron Artest is Garbage.

You can say he is crazy, a distraction and etc... You have no clue what you said right there... He is NOT lazy. He is one of the MOST hardworking player in the NBA... That post just lost creditability due to that FALSE statement...

No way we bring in an Artest. I can't believe this is even a thread, honestly.

Wrong. When a player puts "getting his numbers" ahead of winning games, he is borderline lazy. Sometimes it is harder to play unselfish and do what is right for the team, instead of acting like an idiot and getting suspended, so you don't have to work. I know he plays hard, but in all his time in the L (including his extended vacations), he has failed to improve upon the things that would make him a winner. Maybe you don't agree with the terminology but Ron is way too talented to be the habitual loser he is.

And we degrade the conversation to profanity after 9 posts. I think we all know that Portland would never, ever, in a million billion years, go after an Artest after we just spent the last decade as the laughingstock of the league because of personalities like Artest, so I'm going to lock this.
