LA Times article in Sunday's paper called it:
Since Pau is a giant, another reason the Giants would win.

I'm not a serious football fan, but via family ties, the Pats have been "my team" since 2000. They had an incredible season. I was pretty disappointed yesterday.
The Giants simply outplayed them, though. Defense wins championships, and the Giants proved it throughout the game.
On the other side of the ball, the Pats couldn't stop them, down the stretch. Manning has quickly evolved as a big time player. It's like he suddenly "got it" during the last five-six games. Those last two plays yesterday showcased true greatness. Huge, huge plays that will go down as staples on all superbowl history highlight reels.
The better team won. Congrats Giants fans.

I came into the game with no real rooting interest, but I found myself totally pulling for the Giants down the stretch. The shots of Peyton Manning agonizing for his brother on that last drive were amazing; I had goosepimples the whole time.
The impressive thing is, they didn't play nearly the perfect game you thought they might need to, at least on offense. If they'd been clicking earlier, the Giants could have won this game by 10, maybe even 14 points.
But their defense was absolutely lights out, they kept their screwups to a minimum, and Eli was brilliant on the last drive. A thoroughly entertaining game won by a thoroughly deserving team.
