Don't forget they also have a player named Gasol who is a pretty decent offensive player himself.

I agree though, Lakers will have all the offense they need with Kobe-Gasol-Bynum-Odom. They need defense and toughness more than they need another offensive player.

defintely, but I was just pointing out the swingmen..Kobe/Odom..

He's far from a cancer. But I agree the Lakers don't need him.

I think Carter would be a great addition to the lakers because Vince Carter motivated knowing that he can get a title with Kobe, Gasol and CIA .. That'd be his last chance.

Vince in Dallas would be a better fit, IMO.

Dallas won't give up nowitzki, howard or harris. They have nothing to offer to New Jersey.

No from the lakers, who would be our back up pg? VC isn't what we need, we need a defensive sf and we don't wanna trade Farmar for him either

Yeah, VC would be a good fit in Dallas. I disagree they wouldn't give up Harris, and couldn't offer a decent package, though.

That's Ariza. Unless you mean getting a guy like Battier. Questionable about Artest being able to be had.

I hope the lakers trade Kobe out of spite to a crappy team, while the Lakers become perennial contenders.

Carter would be a good fit on every team who has a scoring frontcourt

Battier would be ideal for the Lakers. Unfortunately, the Rockets aren't really interested in making them better.

Battier +James for Odom could be considered, especially in the offseason if Houston goes nowhere.

Other possible trades involving Battier to the lakers could be Farmar/filler/future lotto protected pick or something.

Carter would be a good fit on every team who has a scoring frontcourt , The Mavs don't have a scoring frontcourt , Dirk doesnt like scoring inside, and that type of play doest match with Vince's.

Carter wouldnt be a good fit, he neds to have the ball in his hands to be effective and with obe on the team that something that'll happen rarely...

But I LOL everytime I hear people say they wouldnt give up there backup PG for a 20,5,5 guy....

Ha!!! That's a terrible deal for the Lakers. Plus they would have Kobe,
Gasol, Carter all making max or near max dollars, with Odom on the hook for big money, and Bynum up for an extension... It doesn't make much sense business wise, nor on the court..

Who the hell wants to pay Carter 60 mil for 4 years?

Carter would make Kobe and Gasol's game much easier because The opponent would have to choose on witch player to double team , plus Gasol and Bynum and let's not forget about Derek Fisher with his treys

why would the Nets want this anyways? the pick isn't getting you anything..they already have Marcus Williams, so Farmar is pointless..and Odom is just ass..
