The balance of power in the conferences has now shifted.

This will have a trickling effect on the whole league.

Don`t see anything good comming out of this for either team. From NJ`s point of view they get a little more athletic, and another target for Kidd on fast breaks.

If they are trying to turn there team into a fast break team i see a decent move. If not, then i dont get it.

Whats with the caps?
Serious sport has nothing to do with fair play. It is bound up with hatred, jealousy, boastfulness, disregard of all rules and sadistic pleasure in witnessing violence: in other words it is war minus the shooting.

Good move for the Nets. They get a little younger. Swift is going to be a solid guy off the bench for 15-20 minutes and he's younger than Collins.

Stromile Swift will work out in NJ, he gets into open spaces where J Kidd can find him for easy dunks, he is as close to a young Kenyon as can be.

Or he could be the one that drives Kidd over the edge. Swift is pretty famous for his low basketball IQ. A lot of times he would forget the play calls and doesn't realize where he should be on the court. Jeff Van Gundy couldn't stand him after one season in Houston; it would be interesting to see how Van Gundy-like Lawrence Frank handles him.

How dumb can you be not being able to play with Jason Kidd, Vince and RJ? You dont have to have a high IQ to dunk or hit your lay ups when your open, Sean Williams is there, hasnt been a problem, why cant Stromile finally strive in a system that works?

Now that Swift is there, I dont think J Kidd will be moved, they cant find value for him, and this trade wouldnt make sense if they would ship him for a re-building team. The Kenyon days were what kidd missed most, now they have a stronger team and can get some games won, clinch 7th in the east at best.

Swift played with a young Mike Bibby in Vancouver and it did him no good. That was old school Mike Bibby who averaged 8.5apg (3rd in the league behind Kidd and Stockton), not the Sacramento Mike Bibby. Apparently he needed a higher IQ to dunk or hit his lay ups anyway.

To say Sean Williams has very low BB IQ is a huge overstatement. Sure he can't create much offensively, but defensively he has some of the quickest reaction times I have seen in a while. He is only a rookie, but in a few years, I wouldn't be startled if he was starting for the Nets.
