Guy's i've been racking my brain trying to work out how to fix this team. I've been through tonnes of trade scenario's. This one is one that intrigue's me the most. I'm not saying that we should do it. It is open to conjecture. So flame away cos i'm very thick skinned.
Before i tell you the trade I think it is important to remember this quote from JKIDD "we've tried to make it work it is not working so it is time to move on" Who moves on? I like to think that JKIDD wants management to pull the trigger and get VC outta here. Not bagging VC (injured or not he has been below par this year) So assuming the Collins/Swift trade goes down. I propose this trade. (it works on the checker)
Nets trade
Carter
Magliore
Wright
Allen
Nachbar
Nets recieve
Shaq
Davis
Before you choke on your wheaties or your TV dinner (what ever time of day it is over there) understand this. It is a proposal.
We have a major shake up. I would like to think that Shaq comes on board ready to prove people wrong. Yes his contract is massive and he won't be our saviour but he will draw double teams. He will give KIDD his big man he wan'ts.
Onto Davis. Davis is an expiring. So he falls in line with team rules or he walks. I think under JKIDD and RJ ( even shaq) influence he could be a good fit for us.
Imagine a running team of
JKIDD
DAVIS
RJ
SWIFT
SWILL
Halfcourt team of
JKIDD
DAVIS
RJ
BOONE
SHAQ
Onto the heat
They are stuffed. This trade will give them cap relief. Plus they can add thier lottery pick plus a free agent to DWADE VC core. Only VC is contracted for next year so they save heaps.
Summary
Shaq and JKIDD will see us out in jersey. Meaning we will be competitve for those faithful and loyal fans right until the end. we could resign Boki as a free agent same as wright if we wanted. (cap space permitting)
I think both teams win here. (IMHO)
Would love to read your thoughts
CHEERS!
GO NETS!!!!
P.S I know we are giving up a lot of players. But i have faith in Marcus SWILL and Josh to be able to step up
HEAT/NETS trade.

again, doesn't make much sense. If you're bringing in Shaq, RJ should be the one dealt. I proposed a trade months ago to bring Shaq over. Shaq is a half-court big, VC is the best at executing in the half-court on this team, pair them up and you're instant contenders. Shaq WANTS to play with VC, said so himself. Granted he wanted Miami to sign VC WITH Wade...However, I think Miami is secretly looking to dump Shaqs salary, regardless if they deny it or not.
Ship out RJ if you're bringing Shaq in. Kidd stays, gets open looks for Shaq and VC. Game will come much easier for both when we have a threat on the block and the wing at the SAME time. Surround them with shooters and we're goin to the 'ship.

G_MoNeY wrote:think that was blown out of proportion by the media. I see them chatting all the time, they still speak to each other. Kidd has distanced himself from the whole team, not just VC. I think Kidd/VC combo paired with a legitimate big man is the best recipe for success and us having a shot at a title.
Again thanks for your thoughts. I remember your post about Shaq now. I don't wan't anyone to think I'm running players out of town. Just trying to stop the rot. I wanna keep JKIDD. Or at worst trade him for cap space and picks. Wanna keep him happy first. So if RJ has to go then so be it. Bring in Shaq and lets roll.

Carter is not the same player we use to know and we don't want another declining player for our team. At least Shaq's contract will end in 2010 and no way Miami mess up with their cap space in that year by doing this trade.
