Josh Smith is a power forward, a unique one, but a power forward none the less. He would be just as good as Emeka Okafor for this basketball team. This is a case of us sixers fans being picky, when we merely have 10 million in cap space and Andre Miller as "assets". The truth is: We can't deal Andre Miller unless we sign a point guard. And the uncertainty with T.J Ford means the Raptors won't give up Jose Calderon that easily, are you willing to sign Calderon to a deal with 10 million dollars? I thought so.
Stop being picky, and kind of nieve. He is a PF. Again, a unique one but a PF none the less.
Josh Smith can't guard bigs nor can he rebound. He's a SF with some extra muscle like Charles Smith. Losing teams like Atlanta usually do weird things like start a PF at center and a SF at power forward.
Josh Smith has only 4 rebounds and averages 8. I do understand why slam dunk lovers and fantasy baskeball players love him..Basketball enthusiasts see his weaknesses and MAJOR tweener status.

Did I mention just how much of an impact player Josh Smith is on the floor? Between Okafor/Smith it doesn't matter which one we get, we will get better with either one, and I'm starting to lean towards Josh Smith. He does everything well, pass, block, rebound and score a little. IMPACT PLAYER> 20/10 player

Don't worry, we'll keep him.

I don't know what game you are watching, but the Hawks vs Sixers game that I'm watching has Josh Smith guarding the perimeter players and floating for the weakside shot blocks. The game that I'm watching has Horford getting his shot beat by Dalembert.

Look, what do you guys have against Josh Smith? Honestly, he's a shot blocker, he can pass, he can score a little. I don't care if the Hawks are using him in a strategy that allows him to use his strengths, that's something WE SHOULD DO. We should put Dalembert in positions to make plays. That's never a bad thing.

Anyone that's not into stat lines, box scores, fantasy basketball leagues, and NBA highlight shows most likely doesn't have a love affair with Josh Smith's game. He can't defend bigs, he can't make any jump shots from anywhere on the floor, he doesn't have a post up game that a team can run an offense through. A 6-8 shot blocking perimeter player that can't shoot sounds like a recipe for disaster on any NBA team. A team with a talented PF and an aggressive dynamic SF will place J Smith in a really bad position. Teams like Dallas, Denver, Phoenix and Detroit will never be threatened by his style of play.

This was one of those games where I was upset with Thad. I know he a rookie, but i hope that weak floater he keeps taking is something he is testing out just for tonight because that shot just looks like it wants to be sent back into the 4th row. He was blocked 4 times!! Shake it off thad and get more aggressive around the hoop instead of weak reverse layups.
