Jameer hasn't played in 9 games this season (all season), and Magic have lost ONLY 2 of those games. This being one of them.

So as much as Arroyo sucks, the team has not exactly collapsed with Mighty Meer out.

Just one of those games.

Missed layups, stupid turnovers.

We could have won the game, but it just wasn't our night. Almost any other night we would have beat Dallas.

Hey Stan, there are 4 or 5 minutes left. We are making a good run and Dooloing is a huge spark. What should we do now? Bench Dooling and bring Arroyo back in? Are you trying to lose this game?

DAMMIT CARLOS, YOU SUCK!!!!!!!

What's gotten into Mo Evans? I used to cringe everytime he shot a long range shot. Now I actually have confidence with his shot. Is he a championship caliber SG though?

Brian Cook...his defense and rebounding is improving Alot! But alot of times when he gets an offensive rebound. He seems like he feels like he's being pressured to force it up. And it turns to be a miss shot when it could've easily been a dunk.

And 7 wins over the last 9 games wasn't that bad ... or little, IMO.

yea, and the two losses were against Detroit and Dallas.

losing against NJ would be a different story though.

Pretty damn good Magic crowd tonight for a Monday, we all got steaming pissed at the refs on a few occasions.
FAT GUY FINALLY DID A LAP.
Chris Tucker may be a jinx, shouldn't have showed up, but he at least took part in the t-shirt launch.

SVG did take blame for the loss for not getting Hedo and Rashard better shots.
OUR POINT GUARD SPOT IS HORRIBLE RIGHT NOW. Yeah Kedo was scoring but we needed a point guard tonight.
Defense got destroyed by screens and pick & rolls. :(

Hedo, God bless that guy. He should've went to the line a good 4 more times than he did but the refs wouldn't call the hacks he was taking. Sure he could've not pulled up on a few shots, but even though the offense wasn't there, HE GOT A SPECTACULAR TRIPLE DOUBLE. :)
Rashard and Mo also did pretty good in my eyes.

Dwight needs to wake the f*ck up, and again we need a point guard to step up. Don't know whether Jameer is still hurt (I'm assuming so).
More JJ chants late.

Need to step up these next games at home, hope for a better result against the Nets on Wednesday.

Just got back from the game, and there are a couple things to comment on.

I thought we put in a good effort to get ourselves back into the game, it seemed like the crowd was waiting for that to happen, and it finally did. We hung around for a little bit, but the effort to close out the game was just pathetic.

Josh Howard...all I can say is the dude is a bastard by hitting those unbelievable contested shots. I thought for sure he shot 80% before looking at the boxscore. He could not miss a shot at all, despite Evans playing very very good defense on him. Jason Terry killed us too.

Hedo's 4 missed layup really ticked me off and could of made a huge difference, I think one of them was during our "comeback" which could have been a game changer. He did have a very nice triple double though.

Dallas just played better than us, and you knew this type of game was coming from them after getting drilled in Detroit yesterday. I won't get too mad over this game.

Highlight of the night: Meeting up and talking with MoGrAdY again

A few thoughts on tonight's game, some just thoughts and others are observations that you might not have been able to see watching on TV (Whocares is contagious).

1. I couldn't figure out what SVG was doing with the point guards in the second half. I understood the first half fine, but the second half baffled me.

2. Keyon Dooling is really quick. And Jason Terry blew past him repeatedly. That guy was unbelievable tonight.

3. Josh Howard cannot miss at Amway Arena. He did the same thing last season.

4. Magic didn't let Dirk go crazy, though he still scored plenty. I've seen him do lots better, though.

5. What did Hedo do to deserve getting slapped with a T along with Trenton Hassell?

6. Magic got owned on the boards. I'll bet second-chance points killed them.

7. There was an unfriendly meeting between four Magic players and Brandon Bass at midcourt after the game. Refs pushed them in opposite directions.

8. During a Mavs possession at one point in the game, one of the Magic players tipped the ball way back toward the Magic basket to give Carlos a chance to chase it down (he was further down the court than any of the Mavericks). A Maverick chased it down and scored and there was a foul. While the Mav is shooting free throws, Carlos is yelling at Mo Evans for something -- and the discussion went on for quite a while. I don't think Mo was just taking it. I was like, "What was up with that? Carlos is the guy who got beat to the ball when he had the edge?"

9. With just more than a minute left in the game and the Magic down 10, J.J. gets off the bench and whips a towel against the floor. Don't know if he was mad that he hadn't gone in yet and wasn't going to with 1 minute left or if he was mad they were losing. Didn't look good, though.

Everyone tried. He was longer than both Mo and Bogans. A lot of times, he was well-guarded, but he hit tough shots. He always does in Orlando.

Yeah, I thought the D on Howard was fine. He just couldn't miss.

I wasn't satisfied with the D on Terry though. Whenever he rose for a shot, it was never really contested.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

absolute ****

All the Magic's free throws in games go to Dwight. The Magic have taken a total of 1,451 free throws this season. Dwight has had 580 of them. That means he takes close more than a third but less than half of all their free throws. If you add in Turk's free throws, the two of them take well more than half of the Magic's free throws. Part of it is because the Magic take a lot of 3s. But also, I think the refs do tend to let other teams pound the hell out of the Magic's smaller players. I'm sure there's something not right about that.

Well, instead of sitting on your computer hatin' on some of the Magic players all game, you could be at the arena taking up the seat that those Mavs fans are sitting in so they can't do that. Says here you're in Orlando.

We constantly criticize the players. We could do a pretty interesting thread on things Magic fans could do better, too.

This game showed me that we definitely need to make some moves. All of our players are great guys and I'd miss most if traded but we need a big, scrappy player off the bench and we need to move one of our SG's for anything. We still played good enough to win but I don't trust them in a 7 game series vs a lot of the east..

A couple of thoughts.

1) Is there any question that Nelson has "earned" his starting job back?

2) Hedo did not have a great game. His poor shooting was the reason the Magic lost.

3) Howard's FT shooting is why the Magic were not in breathing distance.

4) Yuck.
