Interesting, TJ/Jose body language from tonight. (proof inc)
2 seconds into this video.
http://www.stage6.com/user/bigmacrexdale/video/2190241/
TJ greets him with a genuine smile on his face (eyes are smiling, so it's a real smile). Jose has a sour fake smile on his face. At the end of the hug you see the look on his face, and it's not a positive one.
What really gives it away though is the fact that Jose pats TJ on the back while they hug. Now the regular person might view this as something positive, but it in fact is not.
If you know ANYTHING about body language, then you will know that when someone pats someone on the back while they're hugging..it means "let go". It's a "release pat"
And I quote from "The book of tells" by Peter Collett
"Pats on the back like these pretend to be gestures of affection, but their real purpose is to bring the hug to a close by getting the other person to let go"
Now in this book they show a picture of Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemiuex on the ice after Canada beat the U.S in the 2002 Olympics for the Gold medal. Both of these guys are pretty damn egotistical, but it's interesting to note that Wayne (who was the GM of the team) is patting Lemieux on the back with a shady look in his eyes (the same that Jose had AFTER the hug in the video)
Just food for thought to all those that judged TJ in the past on his body language. Which if you were actually educated in the manner, you wouldn't have even brought it up..or you would have flipped it to where it stands in actuality..(fiery, competitive/ambitious eyes). Don't let your egos decide, let facts.

I don't wanna get into why you actually decided to write about this, but you should watch TJ's Postgame Video before you made your thread.

There it is, and he talks about the "hug", which shouldn't even be a big deal.

In my family, we call the pat a "Grandma hug", because that's what she does. And that's involving people she doesn't want to stop hugging.
I like TJ more than most, but even I am wondering exactly how many angels fit on this particular pin.

Raptors Season Ticketholder since the 2000 playoffs, through all the lows... build to the championship high... to Tampa and back again.

All of what I posted is real, and quoted from the book which I own.
I mostly put this up for comedic reasons though (thought it would be obvious).
Just to show a certain hand full of posters (and you know who you are) that specifically complained about TJ's body language. See how ridiculous those nitpicking false statements that you guys cemented as real were?
Here I'm nitpicking in a funny way, but it's allllllll true!

Are you kidding me? The game was about to start. Did you want a long, drawn-out embrace? Maybe a little back-rub action? Get out of here. These are two grown men. Do you get offended when your friends pat you on the back after a hug?
The fact is, people see what they want to see. In reality they were just greeting one another. Now while any normal Raptors fan could be saying "it's great to see TJ smiling and greeting Jose" people are looking for the negatives. Do people have nothing better to do here than look to stir up drama? For the FIRST time we have two all-star calibur point guards and you're grasping at straws to stir up controversy. Please, get a life haters.

PharoaheMonch.. you better be f'in kidding.. otherwise, this is just a pathetic attempt at making "your guy", TJ, look like an angel and Jose a jelous bastard. I mean c'on, how low can you possibly go in trying to make Jose look bad? You criticize his "safe" play, your criticize his lack of penetration, his tendancy to get assists of "easy" passes to open jump shooters on the perimeter etc.. we get it, you hate Jose for whatever reason, but this is utter stupidity..
One can't even see Jose's face in that video.. I bet, if it were ANY OTHER pair of point guards on the same team fighting for the same position where the backup knew that his days in the starting lineup are limited, he wouldn't have bothered hugging the guy entering the game after a long injury break. Instead of praising Jose, you're out to get him for this? wow! And for your kind info, TJ mentioned in his post game interview that he didn't even notice the hug. That statement says a lot of about TJ's ignorance of Jose's kind gesture rather than Jose's bitch fit..
