I hate when Raptors fans make these kinds of threads in General. But I guess with our massive fanbase there was bound to be those who leak into the General forums, and spew the rabid nonsense that we so often haf to witness in our own team forum. Somedays you love being a Raptor fan, other days you hate it. I'd rather we just shut up, and act like the humble team we have on the floor playing for us. Oh well.

Seriously how you become a RealGM Royce? In all your 2000 posts didn't you learn not to go attention seeking on the General board? Do you need everyone else to give you and your team their approval? This topic is not thread worthy - Especially coming from a biased fan of the team that is the subject at hand. This whole thread reeks of insecurity.

1. Jason Kapono -
He's a one-dimensional role player. He's a good zone buster and option on set plays, but you can't afford to play this guy big minutes because on defense he's exploitation city (and as we can all agree in the playoffs defense does matter).
2. Andrea Bargnani -
Bargnani is another weak defender but more than anything his weak rebounding has to be a major concern, if Moon is playing at the 3 that should help to offset Andrea's lack of production on the boards, but I think the other thing to take into account with Bargnani is that he's easily rattled and lives and dies with his outside shot. Shake up Bargnani's confidence and you're left with a Mark Blount with longer range...
*Not that I think that Bargnani will be the next Mark Blount, but at this point in his career when his confidence is down he tends to play like M-Blo...
Basically in Kapono and Bargnani the Raptors have a couple of one-trick role players, and at least in my opinion one-trick role players aren't enough of a reason to "fear" the Raptors or give them a significant edge over other teams they will face in the playoffs...

Kinda like Vince Carter... Except Vince Carter doesn't dunk anymore, so he's a no trick role player.
And Kapono at the MLE is a bad deal.

im not a raptor fan.
but this squad is built for today's nba.
gotta tip the hat off to coangelo.
even if they dont make a lot of noise this year , you can rest assured they will reload and make some nice under the radar moves.
bosh and bargnani , once fully developed, is gonna be similar to having KG and Dirk..
