He averaged 17 minutes a game for the Bobcats and started 12 games.
No this season he played in only 17 games for them and averaged only about 7 minutes a game with no starts. The year before started 12 of 48 games playing about 20 minutes. So my statement is even more correct not only did he fail to crack their rotation this year he lost his spot in the rotation with the bobcats. My point is you cant read to much into garbage time and thats all he has done.

How do you figure that he's done nothing but garbage time after noting that he played 20 minutes a game last season? He lost his spot in their rotation this year because the Bobcats acquired Jason Richardson. It wasn't because he lacks talent.

So now he plays the two gaurd? Because thats what Jason Richardson plays and Gerald plays the three so i dont know how that affected his playing time since he mostly plays the four and they didnt have a four really with Emeka playing the five (before the trade). Second of all if they gave up on his talent after seeing him play 20 minutes a game what does that tell you. The guy has done nothing and im not ready to say he should get Hayes minutes because he comes in during blow outs and hits a jumper or gets a lay up hes playing against teams that dont care anymore and its their second unit most nights.

Fair enough. I also didn't consider that Adam Morrison is out for the season.
Let me just ask this: What has Hayes shown you that makes you think this experiment would be too risky?
