Josina Anderson says the Nugs might be interested, but they don't have much to trade.

Eddie and Kleiza is probably the most we would give up. The Kings might be willing to do it, only because they're going to be losing him at the end of the year anyway, most likely......so they may as well get some kind of value for him.

It would really screw over the nuggs if he opts out especially if we give up guys like najera and kleiza. and im assuming he will since Im almost positive he'll be upset about the amount of touches he gets. even though I think artest minus the offcourt problems could work wonders for this team, doubt it would happen or is worth it.

Yeah I am definitely not a fan of trading Kleiza in any deal for Artest for that very reason. I would hate to be giving up a very good role player for a half-season rental on Artest. Najera on the other hand, obviously does not have the upside, and I honestly believe would consider signing with the nuggets in the off-season anyway.

if we were to give up Kleiza and Najera....I'd rather get Mike Miller, not as good of a defender, but a better shooter, and he's locked into a contract.

i coulda swore artest said he wanted to play for the nuggets.... i think im wrong though...

but, if he wants to go to the nuggets, i dont think he'll opt out after the season. and the nuggets will be getting much further with artest then the kings will get with their current roster.. so maybe he wont opt out if hes on a winning team...

If they are going to act like JR is simply nothing more than a filler, I say screw em. Let Artest opt out for nothing.

I don't think JR would be the filler, it would be Najera if anything.

if we get artest for say najera and kleiza... would he play off the bench??

i dont like the idea of ai returning to start at the point.

Either AI would go to the point or Martin would come off the bench.

Yeah, I am starting to see a lot of cons to bringing in Artest:

1) We may have to throw in LK.
2) AI would have to move to PG, or Melo to PF (not two attractive options)
3) Possibility Artest decides to opt out at the end of the year.
4) Possible baggage that Artest brings with him everywhere he goes.
5) Doesn't solve our inability to hit the 3.
6) May not be happy with the lack of touches he will be getting.

All that being said, I do not think I would be irritated getting Artest, I just would not be that happy to get him either.

Any Nugget insiders (Eric Stratton?) hear that the deal is dead because the Kings are insisting on including Thomas with Artest and the Nuggets wont take him?

^lol, not at all.. maybe hes been playing bad for the kings, i dont know.. but i know when he was with the sixers, i loved how he played.. he hustled, grabbed boards, and was decent offensively.. i think alot of sixers fans would say they liked him when he was with us. maybe he fell off pretty far, i havent seen him play since he left the sixers...

we can't afford to take on kenny thomas at 3 years, 24 million...for what could be a 3 month rental of ron artest.

Any Nugget insiders (Eric Stratton?) hear that the deal is dead because the Kings are insisting on including Thomas with Artest and the Nuggets wont take him?

that's too much to ask from them.
an expiring and a late pick or young player with potential should be enough.

sounds like kenny thomas is gonna be the main hang up in any trade involving Artest, Sac is going to want him to leave with Artest, but I don't see anybody silly enough to take on that contract.

He's basically the same player minus the offense. He has no offense whatsoever, I have no idea what happened to his jumpshot. He's still a good rebounder and hustles though.

^thats good to hear.. if we were to acquire him, we wouldnt need much offense from him anyways.. as long as he doesnt miss easy put-backs, hes good in my book..

however, his contract is a bit ridiculous, lol...

i know i keep saying this, but, i want douby :/
