Wouldn't It Be Great If...

Post#1 » by TheFranchise21 » Fri Apr 20, 2007 1:47 am

A-Rod continues his tear throughout the summer and chases "73" and takes away all the spotlight from Barry?

I only say this because I dislike Barry. I read the SI article that said he is an attention whore so it would be nice for A-Rod to steal his spotlight by chasing his record (HRs in a single season).

And its perfect too because A-Rod plays in NY where the media coverage is huge.

I'd like it, but only because I hate (Please Use More Appropriate Word) New York fans.

Not gonna happen. A-Rod is hot now, and he may reach 60, but sooner or later he will cool down. Just the way the game works.

But I hate Barry, so I'd be all for it.

I'd love it...because he was booed at one point in this season.
"The guy is an idiot," Pedroia said regarding Cabrera. "I dropped my bat. It kind of freaked me out. I was upset they took him out of the game. He is good to hit. He's 9-15. The guy [stinks]."

I doubt it, but im for it. Im a Dodgers fan and i hate Bonds and his attitude. He's like the Kobe Bryant of baseball. A number of people don't like him because of his attitude, but that doesn't take away his talent. Im also an A-Rod fan so.....yeah.

I would love if he did it as well but everybody thought Pujols had a chance last year and then he got hurt.

With a start like this he definitely has a shot, but ultimately he will cool down but how much we'll have to wait and see. It would be great so far all we have heard about is Arod anyways so it is good to not have to turn espn on and see Bonds this, Bonds that. Wish he would he does have the capability to do it.

New York fans would probably boo him in the same game he broke the record

arod would be facing too much pressure from the ny fans and press especially if they keep losing. he'll get the abs though.

73 is such a ridiculous number. I would crap my pants if he broke it.

I'd find it quite fitting if A-Rod hit 74 HR this year and Bonds ended the year 1 HR short of tying Aaron.

This season has been great for A-Rod so far, and hopefully he continues his dominance wit the Yanks for a few years

I hope A-Rod has a great season, breaks the single season Home Run record, and then tells the Yanks to screw off, becomes a free agent and signs some where else
