Wow! IMO, those statements of Artest will affect his trade value. Team will be hesitant to give something good knowing Artest will become a free agent anyway, and they might end up trading for something and ends into nothing.

I view it as, Artest knows he's not in our future plan so he wants to be traded to a team he can be in their future plan and sign his big contract. It's better for both if the Kings trade Artest this season. Even more for Artest because they're are not many teams with cap space and the will to sign him to a big contract so he needs to go to a team now that will sign him long term this season

You know, he's an amazing talent on the court. When he's on his game, noone can guard him. But, like someone said, he cant shut the f*ck up. He just drive people crazy sometimes. I dont mind at all if he's gone.
When he said "personel", could he be talking about Salmons struggling because he lost his starting spot? Salmons has expressed he's not happy he lost the starting spot to Ron, maybe Ron feel like it's his fault that Salmons is struggling.

Of course you'd think that, you're hoping for a discount. The fact is, anything that he says or does in this situation is congruent with all the status quo on artest reservations previously. To say that these comments LOWER his trade value is (Please Use More Appropriate Word) on your part. All it does is validate his current value of what it has ALWAYS been.

Well, he's still going to be a professional and play hard, as usual. This is just a different underlying thing on the main situation of Ron eventually going elsehwere.
Again, for Ron to be traded, the deal has to be right. That has to emerge before anything can be legitimate. That relates to both sides.
Maybe. But the Lakers will probably have to take on Kenny Thomas or SAR with Ron Man.
Who knows if the Lakers will want to trade Odom now or in the summer. I don't think they should change things myself, Odom's only going to fit in better now with Pau there, and even better when Bynum's back. Odom can be the ultimate glue guy, doing some of everything. Letting those three guys do the main scoring. I think they may realize this now, and should after the season.
You should change your username if your liking for Artest doesn't go beyond this team. It's false represention if it doesn't.

I think in the article he's saying what others are saying on this board...that we should rebuild, and he shouldn't be a part of the process. I don't think he's even saying things that are that significant.
I get a feeling though the Kings are still trying to build around Miller/Bibby/Artest. Those guys could have been traded long time ago and they are still here.

I don't think I could have said it much better.
That's exactly what's going on.

I don't think that's really true with Brad. Brad would have been very hard to trade until like the last month or so.
