lol that's almost abusive

and it puts some of the mitchell/carter/alston rivalry into perspective - apparently abusive player/coach relations aren't so rare?

Lol, man Jackson really liked talking smack to Brown. I guess a number one pick who sucks so bad deserves it.

Hhahahaha Phil Jackson is truly from the old-school coaching days. Those one-liners are priceless. Poor Brown, like My God some of those were pretty classic.

It's natural the cake slipped from his handds

Two months into his Lakers tenure, Jackson questioned Brown's toughness and his inability to recover from a strained right hamstring. "I'm not putting pressure other than just call him (a sissy) every time I see him in the locker room," Jackson said. Jackson accented his accessment by making cat-like "meow" sounds as Brown walked past him. Later, Jackson walked into the locker room, pointed to a brown mink coat stashed on top of the coat rack and started laughing hysterically. "See that's Kwame's," he said.

For all the flack Sam gets, I've never seen him slam one of his players in public. I hear off-the record conversations about Sam cutting up a player, but he never slams a player on the record. Not even Alston.

I don't think Sam is as cruel as many think, not even close/

i don't think sam's cruel to the players. but i'm sure behind closed doors he isn't afraid to speak his mind or not speak his mind like with bargnani recently. and there was the one time he called out charlie v in a press conference after the game. but to be fair, he does appear to genuinely care about all of them. phil jackson just seems like an arrogant jerk with everyone though. sam's just a jerk with the media.

phil is the best coach of all time at managing players. i'm pretty sure he knows what he's doing when he slams his players in the press.
