This isn't last year. The way things are going... you guys should be worried about making the playoffs. The trash talk can come after.

How is that diffrent then WAS or the Cavs? Both have delt with hardships and are in similar positions. Yet neither have a gen board thread.

The last time a gen board thread about the up and coming Raps was really useful was 2001. Yet we've had hundreds of them since then.

Just think of all the Boston threads this year and you get the point. Raps are a team that's doing somethingother teams like ORL, CLE, WASH, DEN, HOU, GS in the league are doing yet we still have a gen board thread about just them. Gata keep the **** on the Raps board or people are lible to get sick of it and blast them for the hell of it.

Atlanta has had a general thread, Portland has had a general thread, New Orleans, a few others in the past few months. You didn't see 'Damn (insert team name) fans, just trying to get attention.

The OP brought up good point, we are 5 games above 500 without our starting pg for a good chunk of this season?

Our number 1 pick hasn't played well? So, in a weak east, this team should not be taken lightly.

I love when some fan pretends to know a team after they've clearly watched them for 1 game. Bosh gets to the line more then any other big in the league. Suprisingly those fouls don't come opn jumpshots.

We're 13th in defensive efficiency while playing the 2nd hardest schedule in the league so far, lol. We've played a harder shedule then any team in the west besides Houston.

Congrats on winning 1 game.

Well, at least he converts them when he gets there. I'm he's not too far behind Dwight in made free throws.

True. I just thought it was funny and ironic

But kudos to Bosh this season, though. He's playing much more aggressive than before.

But I still think that Bargs is the weakest link on that team. He just is what the Raptors don't need, which is a 5th or 6th shooter. IMO, you guys need to trade for a guy who can get rebounds and can at least clog up the paint... I heard Jerome James was available

Yeah we had a thread about PORT when it was on probuly the best run for this NBA season. NO for making it to #1 in the West [we did that with LA too awhile back] and ORL when they started off extremly well. and we had one when ORL fell back down. We'll have another when Areneas comes back.

I just noticed two raps complaining about the negative response and this is why I believe they see it so often on the general board. There team isn't doing something NBA outstanding yet they get a lot of threads made. It might be just common sense since there are so many more Raps posters, but it's just common sense that the other fans are going to get sick of it and respond "negatively".

edit:Hell I'm a Boston fan and I'm sick of coming to the general board and reading about them beign Wade 2.0 or Garnnet's an **** or someone saying Pierce>God. I fit this thread under one of those titles as not really generall NBA important and if some fans says who cares or it's not something that worthy of words like WATCH OUT!! thats to be expected. Does it violate the TOS, no, but neither does posters saying it's not really that newsworthy.

I liked the LA trade mostly because personally it made it valid to me every possible trade scenerio that screws one team for financial compensation, and two it means there was something fun and new to talk about.

So that's it's I think it's common to see the negative response to Raps threads like this one and shouldn't be all that suprising.

So is that the way the board works, we can't talk about something we've talked about in the past? So we're eventually stuck with finite post content?

Again, my point being, that the OP brought up points that can be argued, not just bashed.

I edited that into my OP, we had other not really news threads before like the ones I refered too and we'll have other ones in the future. I'm not saying they should be baned. But I'm saying it shouldn't be unexpected for someone to say who cares, or that's not WATCH OUT material.

Ok...and my argument is that it shouldn't. I know WHY it happens.

Haywood would be just perfect for Toronto.
A rotation of Bosh-Bargs as PFs
Haywood-Rasho or anyone else at C would really help them.

I just feel that Bosh would be better served being a 2nd option.
They should have a go to scorer who plays SG or SF.

They ain't title contenders, but they are a really good team, greatly built(with some mistakes, tough, like going for Andrea at 1, with a good coach, and I, not a fan of the team, like to watch them play.
Question: how would fare the Raptors if they were in the WC?I would say they would be between 6th(at best) and 9th seed.

Maybe someone has said it already, but here is my 2 cents.

The key for the Raptors will be Andrea Bargnani. We know what Bosh, TJ, Jose and the rest of the other guys coming off the bench can bring. But if the Raptors want to have success in the playoffs, Bargnani needs to play well. Forderon can do what do they do best, and Bosh can be a beast, but Bargnani will be the one to put the Raptors over the top if the #1 draft pick can live up to his potential.
