Stan's comments to the Sentinel before Dallas game:
"I don't look at it as a guy losing the job. We got on a good roll against good teams, so I didn't want to mess with what we had going," Van Gundy said. "If a group is going well, I can't see making arbitrary changes."

And after the game:
"I can't play all three of them. That doesn't work," Van Gundy said. "We just don't have any of those [point guards] who create a lot for other people. That's [Hedo Turkoglu's] job. We've changed our lineup looking for guys who can get us off to a good start. Maybe we need to look at that again."

So there you go. Magic lost = Meer will play and start next game. Nobody worry about him anymore. He's back.

lol just read this

Carlos Arroyo added 12 points, but Van Gundy lamented the fact that he is ``consistently a low-assist guy.
Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:

"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

I don't see Jameer being on the move. We just don't do that like other teams do, sign a player or extend them and then trade them away. We are a very loyal franchise, sometimes to a fault. I still believe that we will make a trade of some sort though. The really good ones usually come at or after the all star game, when all the gm's get together and do their more serious shopping.

I was actually saying they are DNP-CD'ing Jameer to thoroughly rest him to prevent any risk of future injury. If we know Jameer is healthy and rested, it is less of a big deal to trade Dooyo (Arroling? Keylos?) and only have one back-up (hence my Lowry reference) At the same time, they get to showcase Arroyo and Dooling, without really mentioning that Jameer has been nursing a sore foot. What this does is other teams see that Arroyo and Dooling are playing all of our minutes at PG, and therefore gives us a negotiating tool, the ability to say "Oh, you want want Arroyo? Wellllll, he's our starting PG, and we don't want to just give him away, so maybe you could add so and so..." or "Oh yeah, Dooling is way more than an expiring contract! I mean, look at the minutes he's been getting! We gave Jameer an extension this summer, and Dooling is out playing him! So yeah, he's more valuable than the average expiring, obviously!"

I really hope we're not gonna trade Jameer. He's our guy. He's not a good defender..but offensively 100% he really helps us on offense.

But I still think it's unlilkely.

As for Nelson, I don't buy any of it....on the block, not on the block.

I just don't think Nelson is fully recovered yet.

Arroyo is likely the product on display.

Good points. I'm sure Otis is driving a hard bargain, maybe hard enough that we don't end up getting a deal done, who knows. I mean after all he doesn't have to do anything at the deadline. We are winning with the current group and we still have the mle in the offseason and the ability to resign any of our guys. I do believe that he will get something nice however whether he's artificially pumping up their value or not, even Pat got some playing time recently.

But, he would have a point if he did indeed take that angle. We are struggling at the pg position with both health and effective play, Arroyo and Dooling have had to step it up lately. It will be very difficult to move both Arroyo and Dooling without getting help at that spot in return. Even moving one of them may leave us thin if Jameer can't get off the pine. I'm banking on a three for two deal before the deadline. Now is the time that expiring contracts are worth the most. I can't see us letting almost 12M just expire like that, especially since its not all wrapped up in one player.

Too bad he is hurting his "VALUE" every time he plays

that is if he had any value to begin with, other than his contract expiring

Stans an idiot. Thats what it is. He is just an idiot. I can understand not starting Nelson but giving him DNP's is moronic.
