Shane Battier or Tashaun Prince? (and nocioni?)

who's better? who would you rather have?

they're both do-everything SF's, signed to semi-long/semi-reasonable deals.

battier's a better shooter and stronger, Prince is a better defender and more athletic.

who you got?

Prince, pretty easily, he's the better defender or at the worst even in that category, but a vastly superior offensive player.

Battier is overrated IMO, he has no real offensive game.

Prince, because not only is he a good defender, he's also great in the offensive end by ALOT.

Prince and its not even close ..

Battier is a solid role player but Prince is a bonafide one (i would say all-star but not quite)

Prince. Though I believe that Sane Battier is the better defender I believe that Prince is the better offensive player and is only a little bit behind Battier on defense.

Battier's true value is under-rated, his value on RealGM is sometimes over-rated.

It has to be Prince, although it must be said that he hasn't come on in the past 2-3 seasons as I thought he could've.

Prince has a great all around game that makes some people think he'd put up even better numbers on another team. I'm not so sure. It's true he has the talent to be an 18 or 19 ppg scorer, and *maybe* if he were a bad teams 2nd option or a consistent 3rd option he would. But it's more than just being an after though in Detroits offense that holds him back; he's very very passive at times.

It's not like Odom where you see the talent but maybe question his heart & desire, it's more like Sheed were you can see he wants to win but he's really just more comfortable deferring and taking a back seat to other guys. He still brings it at the defensive end every night, but offensively if the Pistons don't make a concerted effort to involve him early he can often be invisible for the entire game.

I've said repeatedly I think the Pistons should run their offense through Tay & Sheed at the start of the game and get them going. Rip & Chauncey can pick up at any time.

But I digress. Tay is the better player, although not by as large a margin as it should be. I got nothing but love for Battier though - great team player.
