I think Washington might drop to 7th, with Atlanta in 6th. If so, I hope we get 3rd. We could beat Atlanta easily.

That way Orlando drops to 4th or 5th with us in either 4th or 5th. I see washington dropping to 6th and the other teams don't have a chance. If we could get Orlando we could take them in the first round. Ideally, we could go for 3rd ourselves and maybe face Washington but that's not going to happen.

In summation, I WANT Cleveland to win and win big and get a higher seed.

Why not root for us to get the 3rd seed instead? We're only 1 game behind Cleveland, and we could easily pass them with a good win streak... We have some easy games coming up too...

That way Cleveland and Orlando play as the 4th and 5th seeds, and we get Washington/Atlanta with homecourt... Although we would still have to play Boston/Detroit in the second round..

Just watched the Lakers-Nets game. It must be so frustrating for NJ fans to only see their stars actually try when they're on TV.

I think the Lakers are going to win it all. They are flat out scary.

Orlando has one of the easiest remaining schedules in the league. It's a cupcake schedule to say the least. Obviously we want that third seed but any chance the Cavs have of taking that spot should be welcomed with open arms.

I'm just being realistic. I don't think we can get the 3rd seed, so I'd rather Cleveland have it. If we trade wins with Cleveland we'll end up meeting them in a 4/5 matchup. To catch Orlando, Cleveland has to get on a roll. Of course I'd rather be there, but don't see it happening.

Okay, you might have a point... I just checked Orlando's schedule and they will get the 3rd seed... Short of Dwight getting injured for the rest of the year its a wrap.. they have like 12 road games left for the entire season, and nearly every home game is a non playoff team...

And with Cleveland, I don't want to see them winning because if they do go on a streak and fall short of the 3rd seed, they'll face us with homecourt.. And then we'll probably get swept or lose in 5... I would rather face them with homecourt, because our chances against them are already very slim, so we need every advantage we can get...

Wiz lose fourth in a row and given their schedule, that could stretch to 8 or 9.

Butler re-injured his hip.

If it's serious, by the way, does he play in the ASG?

Damon had a good first game for the Spurs, but zero assists is a little scary.

Kobe is a true superstar. He played the game to make Gasal shine & get some easy points. I have never seen Kobe so happy skipping & dancing off the floor. His post game interview was great . He just kept giggling & smiling. When asked how he liked winning without hitting double figures he said .It feels just great ... you have no idea how good this feels. They are gonna be the real deal now for sure

Jazz will murder the Lakers.
no one in the lakers can guard Booz in the pick and roll.

Jazz is my pick in the west. they went far last year, and no doubt they will go farther this year

The Lakers definitely have to be among the Western Conference heavyweights now ... I hate to jump the gun after one game with Gasol, but just watching how unselfish all 5 guys are on the floor (yes that includes Kobe, which would've been an oxymoron 5 years ago), they'll be even better when Bynum gets back ... Kupchak pulled off the heist of the century ...

Can we get 3rd seed? I thought the first 3 we're reserved for top three teams from their respective devisions.

Nope. We can get third seed if we have the third best record in the conference. The other division winner with a lower record would be placed at number 4 automatically. If you're a division winner, you're only guaranteed top four seeding.
