Warriors Depth

Post#1 » by Test of Wills » Wed Feb 6, 2008 4:37 am

I think this team by far has the most depth in the league. Would anyone on this squad intrigue any of you (be realistic) ?

Baron Davis/Monta Ellis/CJ Watson
Monta Ellis/Kelenna Azubuike/Marco Bellinelli
Stephen Jackson/Matt Barnes/Mikael Pietrus
Chris Webber//Brandan Wright/Austin Croshere
Andris Biedrins/Al Harrington/Partick O'Bryant/Kosta Perovic

They have tons of depth through 1-15 and some of these players like Bellinelli and O'Bryant are in the D-League. And the scary part is every player could almost play multiple positions and they have young forward with great talent in Brandan Wright. There are a few players that intrigue me on this team like:
-Patrick O'Bryant
-Austin Croshere
-Mikael Pietrus
All three can play D and grab boards I don't think BC would ever go after O'Bryant because of a young C also with the initials AB that we have here. But to get any of the other two we need to Dixon/Graham/filler combo.

Pietrus; and Azubuike would be a good addition he was playing well earlier on in the season and the Warriors depth pushed him to the bench.

Do you think we have a realistic chance of getting Ellis? I love his game and think he would be a major plus for the raps and could be that push to get us into the second and third round.

Why would O'Bryant intrigue you?

Well, living in the Bay Area and following the Warriors in local newspapers, Pietrus is definitely available. Patrick O'Bryant is also available. However, I'm not sure if Azubuike is available...Don Nelson is a big fan of his.

What about Ellis for Anthony Parker, Joey Graham 1st round draft pick, 2nd round draft pick. works in trade checker.

Obryant. Young development 7 footer who can block shots, rebound, and score in the post. He may turn out to be a scrub, but he wont cost much.

Pietrus. Seems kind of redundant with Delfino. I like Delfino's passing/handling ability a lot more.

Pietrus and POB should come cheap and BC should explore the possibility. If we can add Jackson with Kapono and a pick the otherway, that'll be sweet.

no way they do that. but why do we do that? we can't play ellis at the 2 because we're not a run and gun team.
