Gotta love all the experts on here that have all that inside knowledge of what's really going on!
Dude, friggin' Geoff Petrie doesn't even talk to his WIFE about what deals he's got going - how can you pretend to know what is or is not ACTUALLY being discussed by NBA GM's?
All we really do here is guess and hope that they do what our homer asses want to have happen, but the reality is usually something like the Gasol trade that NOBODY on REALGM would have EVER done.

Whatever team gets desperate. I really don't know at this point. May have to forgo sending Kenny with him and just try to get value and open up the minutes for John and Cisco. I just want this to be over already!!!
These statements contradict each other--it's too early for teams to get desperate (well except for maybe Phoenix, but typically speaking

Well it's really over now anyway. Either way Ron Artest isn't a fixture in Sac. Whether we get anything out of it in the end is the question now. Wait until this summer and we get nothing, but hey, maybe the cap space is better than having to take on a multi-year player. Sure would suck to not knock Kenny's deal off the books however.

We don't necessarily have to dump Kenny this year. That kind of thing is entirely situational, and perhaps the right situation will pop up for us next year. I still wouldn't mind doing something like Kenny/Cisco for expirings/low level prospect.

I just can't ever see Cisco getting the value to be able to dump Kenny with him. At least Artest has the history to take teams to the next level.

When talking about dumping players, remember that Memphis couldn't dump any contract in a lopsided Gasol trade, I don't think Memphis GM is stupid, he tried, but couldn't get it done, that should give us an idea how willing GMs are to take bad deals.
The current arming race in the west plays to our favor, I'm hoping someone will panic and give in to Petrie's demands.

If you want to use current trades as the measuring bar, then let's take a look at the Miami deal. If the Heat can 'dump' Shaq AND get a Marion-like talent out of it, the Kings can get value out of Artest AND dump Kenny Thomas as well.

In this case, Marion would be a better measuring bar than Shaq. He is in a somewhat similar situation as Artest, only he isnt half as crazy.
And all he could fetch was a broken down 36 year old giant that is still owed 60 mill.

Your view on the trade is so twisted, I don't know where to begin.
