OT: Board issues

Post#1 » by LongLiveHinkie » Wed Feb 6, 2008 5:17 am

I've never had any issues with this board before, but during the last week or so I have. I'd say 4 out of 5 times I visit the board, it doesn't load completely. Pretty much the only things that load is the stuff above the wiretap. The board itself and everything below the wiretap doesn't. It can take up to about 5 refreshes for it to finally load. Then when I click a topic, the topic won't fully load and I'll have to refresh again.

Is this just me?

I only experience this at night time. Everything is in blue, and posters' avatars are at the bottom of each post.

Happens to me too, but that has happened during the day also.

But I believe the avatars are at the top of each post.

I just had that happen to me for the first time and it was when I clicked on this thread. Either way, it's good to hear that all of you suffer from these issues than it being just me.

Seems to happen to me only in the late night/early morning. But happens regularly at that time.

ALL of you guys with the problem should post what operating system and web browser you are using. I have never had this problem. I have XP with Firefox.

I should probably switch over to Firefox since I'm a fool who's still on XP and IE7. Firefox definitely has far less issues than IE.

IE7 blows....Has to be the slowest browser I've ever used. Been a Firefox user for the past 2 years.

While you're at it, swhich off windows too

Firefox has progressively been getting worse, IMO. I may start looking at alternatives.

Like Mac's technologically (BSD Base), don't like their business practices nor vendor lockin (which IMO are nearly as bad as Microsoft's, but Apple's marketing department is infinitely better).

Gentoo/Firefox

But I don't think this is a browser issue the board has been having.
