I'm calling shenanigans on the NBA!
That's rediculous, he's what #2 in the NBA in 3pt%?
Kobe's #74! WTF?!

I'm willing to bet he was invited but declined because of the knee. At least we got Roy in the all-star game :)

That's possible.

Oh well. Like you said, we have plenty of representation in All Star Weekend this year, so I'm not all that upset Jones didn't make the 3pt Contest.

How can you not be upset that someone who deserved to be there isn't going via Snub?

Roy and Aldridge in Rookie v Sophomore game and Roy in the ASG.

In the end, the 3pt Contest is small potata's.

Plus, I don't feel like getting my panties in a bunch like Warrior fans did when Baron was left off the Reserve List. I saw how ridiculous they were acting over something fairly meaningless, and I don't wanna be that guy.

It does suck and he should have been in it, but I won't lose any sleep over it. Nor will I go on long rants about it.

I'm with Spykes. After seeing all the whining about Baron I started to realize that someone deserving is always left off, and when people complain about it, it's just irritating.

Edit: I'm not directing this at any of our posters, I'm just saying that's why I'm not complaining :)

Good point, we're lucky to have Roy in the ASG and while it was expected, it's nice to see two of our players play in the rookie-sophmore contest as well. The three point contest really isn't that significant anyways, especially compared to being in the ASG, which is the entire purpose to the all star weekend.

It would have been nice to have him in the Shootout. However he is nursing a very sore knee and he needs rest. It's going to be a VERY VERY tough fight for the Blazers to get back into the playoff hunt. However to do it they need Jones and the season and maybe a playoff chase is WAY more important then some All Star Contest.

However i would like to know IF he was invited and just turned it down cause of knee.
