Miami has always been Zo's city!
As much as Shaq as done for the Heat organization, Miami will always be Alonzo's city. When the Heat first traded for Shaq, I was excited to see him join the Heat, but at the same time couldn't help but feel a little disappointed that Zo would no longer be consider the best center ever in Miami. As much as I respect Shaq, and what he's done not only for us but for what he has done throughout his career, Alonzo will always be Miami's favorite son.
Thanks Shaq for everything you've given us
... Here's to Zo making a full recovery and hopefully take his rightful throne as Miami's starting center for at least just ONE more game!
Thanks Shaq for everything you've given us

Yeah, I felt the need to wait until ti was official. My admiration for Shaq the man and the player never wavered. The man played one of his best career seasons for us when he arrived and I think we would have won that year. Then he plays to the team's strength, Wade, and delivers his promise, something Riley alone could not do as his promise seemed so long ago. I gave Shaq and the team immunity for bad play las year because of the glow of the win. This year, I understood Shaq not being motivated because of the terrible talent and chemistry, but I got a little bummed until we started rooting for lotto balls. But throughout, I always felt we could have turned it aroudn with key talent and be in the hunt again with Shaq and Wade. I do think Shaq ill help Phoenix get over the hump and I'll be happy for him and them. So I am a little sad that he is gone because it was a great great ride. But this was a nice move and had to be done.
Love you Shaq. Thanks for being part of our community.

I mean, I appreciate him for living up to his word and bringing us something we've never had. I will never forget June 20, 2006. Never. However, I have lost quite a bit of respect for him throughout this entire situation. Now, he's promising not to let Phoenix down after letting Miami down this year. This community embraced him like no other, and he basically played like a bum this year.
If he goes to Phoenix and dominates, he will become one of my most hated players ever, because he'd be a true bandwagon POS in that instance. I can't have respect for a player who is only motivated to give his all when he feels like a title is realistic. Sounds too Randy Moss for my liking.
