Richie Frahm?

Post#1 » by Shzm13 » Wed Feb 6, 2008 8:36 pm

Rumor has it we might sign him since we'll be 1 player short of a full roster after the Shaq deal..

Why the hell would we sign him when we can recall Tuck?

Richie has been discussed for sure. It's not like he's going to play or anything.

i felt the same way when the clippers signed him but he was a pleasant surprise in his short stay with in los angeles. frahm is pretty solid fundamentally and he's got a good 3 point shot, he even his a few clutch ones for us while he was here. in an offensive system like yours, the suns might be pleasantly surprised. there's a reason he gets called up on a regular basis unlike a lot of d-league players.

I'd sign Ruben Patterson for the remainder of the season. The guy has had his troubles in the past, but he has been incident free on and off the court for the past couple of seasons. He is an active defender who can team with Bell to guard the opposing team's wings.

Note: You now can use Boris Diaw in that role with Marion gone.

Can Seattle buyout KT for the rest of the season, and come back here?

This is a good time to sign Luke Jackson since he got waived by the heats to make room for Marion and Banks. He's a better player than Frahm I think but Richie Frahm sure does know how to shoot from the 3pt line though. :wizard:

You were thinking the same as I was.

Below is a list of players available that would be good on the Suns and are free agents, NBDL players that are not assigned to an NBA team, or available in trade. We have to pick up a plyer now that we are under the minimum roster.

Rumor has it we are going to sign Richie Frahm. In my opinion he does nothing for us.

Free Agents --
Otis George SF/PF/C 6'9" (240) PPG 10.4 RPG 9.4 APG 1.6 in Suns Summer League - he was with the Suns during Summer league and preseason before being cut since we only had one roster spot available and that went to DJ Strawberry. However Kerr and D'Antoni both said they would keep an eye out for him to eventually sign with the Suns

NBDL --
Carlos Powell 6'7" (220) PPG 22.3 RPG 6.3 APG 4.2 SPG 1.2 BPG 0.3
Kaniel Dickens 6'8" (235) PPG 21.8 RPG 5.2 APG 1.2 SPG 0.8 BPG 0.8
Elton Brown 6'9" (250) PPG 20.1 RPG 10.9 APG 2.1 SPG 0.5 BPG 1.0
Rod Benson 6'10" (225) PPG 12.7 RPG 12.1 APG 1.1 SPG 1.3 BPG 1.3
Darvin Ham 6'7" (230) PPG 9.5 RPG 5.6 APG 1.4 SPG 0.8 BPG 0.7
DerMarr Johnson 6'9" (210) PPG 16.0 RPG 5.3 APG 1.3 SPG 1.4 BPG 0.4 --Previous Suns experience

Tradeable --
Mickael Pietrus for T.E. and 2008 Cleveland (via Suns) 2nd round pick
Charlie Villanueva & Charlie Bell for Raja Bell and Atl Pick
Sebastian Telfair/Gerald Green/Ryan Gomes for T.E. and Atl Pick
David Lee & Fred Jones for Raja Bell and Atl Pick
Andre Iguodala & Kevin Ollie for Raja Bell & Atl Pick (Best trade since 76ers like Bell)
Ron Artest & Quincy Douby for T.E. & Atl Pick (2nd best trade)

Let's sign Rod Benson....dude's always good for a laugh, and he's a big body.

Return to Phoenix Suns
