I would agree with you, but the thing is, he already did!! Who started the 2nd half? Stan didn't start Arroyo, played him a couple minutes, and then played Nelson. He started with Meer.

That was faster than right away. LOL.

PS: I don't only think SVG will start Nelson again from next game on, I think he will go with Meer-Dooling and won't play Carlos at all. He said he can't play the 3 of them.

Didn't get to see the game, but a good and much needed win.

I don't think he was directly responding to a question regarding it, but he did go off talking about Reggie Miller and Tracy McGrady moments, where a player can, and has, drop a lot of point very fast at the end of a game and you could easily lose a game that appeared to already be in the bag.

Well he is well awere that the guys lose focus at times and give up leads in the blink of an eye. Its happend several times. We have heard him say many times that we play to the scoreboard too much and he is obviously trying to change that. He is trying to change the attitude of the team and thus is doing different things to teach the team, its one of the reason he is such a good coach. Yet people want to complain about JJ when he is trying to fix one of the teams bad habits.

Just got back. I'll post pics later hopefully. Only phone pics, but hey.

Chris Tucker was like 10 feet away from me at one point chatting with somebody.

Section 101 S Row DD....oh how I wish you were my season tickets.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

Well, with Washington at .500, they have to win 13 more games than us the rest of the way to even tie us.

Their next 3 games are against PHX, GS, and I believe Utah, all on the road.

If we can take care of business I believe we'll have the Southeastern Conference Crown wrapped up in around 10 games.

Can't remember seeing SVG so physically pissed, but we played damn well overall with some very nice ball movement.
Sweater Vest guy had some superb rants against the refs.
CHRIS TUCKER took off the jinx title and had himself a lot of fun as the crowd really enjoyed him during the t-shirt launch.
Rashard, Hedo, Dwight, had big games and we rarely lose when this happens.
Cookie again comes up with a big 11-point quarter.
Boki got his big numbers but we didn't let Flash or Malik crush us.
Held VC, RJ and Kidd to under double digit scoring until the 4th quarter. :)

JAMEER CAME OUT AND PLAYED LIKE HE DID THE START OF THIS SEASON. He even got some jumpers to go and was just causing havoc by driving in and out of the paint attacking the hoop and kicking out for open shots.

JJ chants came out with 4 minutes left in the game.

We have our point guard to take on the Lakers this Friday as I have no doubt that Jameer will start.

... and 11 points on 50% shooting, and 5-5 at the stripe, 5 rebounds, and a steal.

This was a perfect night off the bench!

With Butler out, the Wiz are in a world of problems. If any of - Indy, Chicago, Philly, Milwaukee, Charlotte - get hot, Washington could be in threat to miss the playoffs. It's almost sad to see how much that team has ben devastated by injuries.

Just watched the highlights, seems in that mid/late 2nd and early 3rd we really hammered out the game and then kept the Nets at arms length the rest of the game.

Good to see Jameer playing at the level he did at the start of the season. Cook with another productive game. What perplexes me is Bogans 0-5 from 3pt range yet still we were out scoring the Nets quite largely while he was on the floor.

Arroyo playing 5 mins. Atm SVG seems he will yank people and refuse to play them, even after 5 to 7 minutes, was this a case of bad play and SVG discipline or Arroyo take a knock or something?

so, from the end of the 2nd quarter through the majority of the 2nd half, we played really good defense...i know we had more fouls called in our favor and went to the line more, but man those refs were blowing the calls in the first half, the Magic lost the ball 3 times just on out of bounds calls that were all off Nets players, and they all happened like in a row...the crowd saw the replays and was buggin out...that foul with Dwight going straight up under the basket was the worst...and him not getting the and 1 when Boone hacked the hell out of him on one of those put backs in the 3rd...

oh well

so, i'll take Armstrong any day man, his hustle is just as ridiculous as it was 10 years ago...

i saw Chris Tucker again, this time i avoided open field checking him, i actually got to say whats up to him...poor guy man, anywhere he goes for the rest of his days he's going to have to do that Michael Jackson impression...

good night overall...

Funny comments in the Orlando Sentinel

"If Turk can't play Friday, don't come in here with a camera filming me," Van Gundy growled to open his news conference. "I'm serious. That's dangerous."

Turk slightly sprained his right ankle after stepping on the foot of popular, longtime cameraman Tee Taylor of WKMG-Ch. 6. Taylor basically has sat in the same spot in the corner of the baseline since pro basketball came to town. Van Gundy had a ref re-position Taylor and other photographers near the baseline. The coach also said Keyon Dooling, who had fallen after being fouled by Darrell Armstrong on a layup, hit his head on another camera. Dooling said he only felt Armstrong's whack to the noggin.

"It's great that we're on TV and everything, but it would be nice if our players could have some safety on the court," Van Gundy said.

Turk said his ankle was a little sore, and laughed it off. He added he might limp around and wear a protective boot at practice today just to get a rise out of Van Gundy.

I think it was because of the 14-4 start in 1st quarter favoring the Nets? Or maybe that's just me ... LOL. Of course it was because of bad play!!

Actually bad play from the whole starting squad (2 more starters were pulled out early in 1st quarter by Van Gundy, along with Arroyo), just happens to be that Dooling had a decent game and Jameer a great one. And the team was blowing the hell out of the Nets with that PG combo, that's why Carlos didn't come in to play again the rest of the game. Very understandable and little surprising move by Stan.

But again, that's just my opinion. LOL.

As I saw it live, I thought exactly what Van Gundy said. It looked like he slid back into one of the camera men and was holding his head. However, as soon as they replayed it, you could tell that it was Armstrong's arm (elbow?) that clipped his head pretty hard, and I'm like 99% sure that he never actually hit his head on a camera.

Turk said his ankle was a little sore, and laughed it off. He added he might limp around and wear a protective boot at practice today just to get a rise out of Van Gundy.

Thoughts?

The Cavs would also send 2 unprotected 1st rounders to the Nets, the Magic would send at least a 2nd rounder to the Nets.

For the Magic the deal basically amounts to:

Dooling for Gooden + Armstrong

Garrity and the 2nd rounder would just be throw ins... I guess in some ways Armstrong is just a throw in but hey at least he's better than Garrity...

I'm sure you guys would love to throw Arroyo in instead of Dooling but I'm going to be honest with you and if the Magic tried to include Arroyo instead of Dooling the Nets would immediately shoot the deal down. The Nets had a lot of interest in Keyon when he was a FA so that and the fact that he makes less than Arroyo make me believe the Nets would still like to acquire him.

*One of my good friends is a Magic fan and I know he has a lovefest with Augustine but realistically speaking if the Magic acquired Gooden Augustine becomes completely useless instead of just mostly useless.
