OT: I miss Jalen Rose

Post#1 » by N1QUE24 » Thu Feb 7, 2008 6:45 am

What a class act that guy was.. does anyone know where he is or what he's doing right now? Is he still on the Suns roster? Did he take up broadcasting?

This might be a random post but I happened to read TSN's compilation of the best Raptors lineup and them mentioning Jalen made me all nostalgic. I still remember when we acquired him along with Donyell and Baxter.. we went on some crazy 8 game winning streak or something of that sort.

Carter + Rose + Bosh (barring injuries) would've been nasty..

I think he does analysis and occasional tv spots for ESPN sometimes now, he was a guest on hardcore sports radio today on the score and he gave his thoughts on the Shaq trade, and the nba in general, he also mentioned that he's executive producer of some play that's about to start its run: www.maryandjosephtheplay.com

I don't miss him on the court, but I do miss his quotes in the papers and on TV.

Jalen was probably the best dressed NBAer when he was in the league. And I agree that VC and Jalen were a crazy duo. If those guys never got injured in the KO era, the Raptors would've made it to the playoffs and could've gone very far.

His ending here in Toronto was not great, but as a whole, The Rose was something else. Had he not of broken his hand that season, Raps could have made a small run in the playoffs.

An absolute character. It's really too bad the way it ended here.
