I'm guessing he probably will. All the paper work should be completed by now and Marion probably will get a quick run through today in practice.

How about the playoffs? Possibly, depending on how many minutes Shaq and his running mate Nash play.

The Heat have shown you how to unload a big contract while the Suns have laid it all on the line. I love it just like I liked the Celts moves to go for it all. Obviously there are risks when you swing for the fences but that is what it is all about. You can't win it all without taking some calculated risks otherwise you are left praying that the bunch of pansies you have assembled will eventually get it if you coddle them enough.

But I agree that it was a master stroke by Riley. Sheer genius. Got the big fella to MIA to get a ring, gave him his money and then shipped him out for a dude in a situation where MIA really doesn't have much to lose.
And I love seeing all these teams looking to hit homeruns. This is far and away the most interesting, wide open run into a championship in I don't know how long.
Three teams in the East have a serious shot at making the finals and the West is wide open with a whole wack of teams looking to throw down.
Thank god I have a PVR this year.
