why?
The guy played great one year in Indy (before contract renewal) and once he got that absurd contract he coasted all the way after with small sparks here and there...His play was below his contract and he just enjoyed the ride.
He sure was no leader in a good sense. VC learned from him that all it takes is a very good year before contract renewal and you're set.

In the old guard of Raptors, Oak is my favorite for showing leadership and getting on the coasters. Remember when he made public his displeasure of VC's relaxed play? Result was that VC light it up the following games. At the time Michelle went to defend her son while criticizing Oak for his lack of scoring...

This being said, this is the first time when Raps have a good nucleus, no rotten apples.

i don't understand why the suns couldn't give rose some minutes in that game where they were shorthanded against the spurs. i really like rose and i wish he was still in the league. as bad as he is defensively, i know he can still do his thing in the post so teams could use him.
Sam wasn't the solution, but he wasn't the problem either

One thing is for sure.

Al Horford would be talking through his armpits right now if Jalen were on our team.

The guy ate the Knicks for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every time we played them. He was unstoppable, good times.

JL2002 wrote:Rose + MoP is better than any combo at 2 and 3 that we have now. Jalen was a class act here and he was never a 'cancer' to the team compared to what Bulls fans was saying. Beside AWill I can say he's one of my fav Raptor of all time and never regreted of getting his Jersey at all. VC's on the other hand, i don't mind getting rid of....haha.....

Roses' post up is like unstoppable for some reason, he doesn't have the speed, but can do a little spin and get to the basket so easily. His fadeaway shot is like money. And my fav moment of him is when he came back from his broken hand and he was wide open and he did a layup. After he pointed to his broken hand meaning he would've dunked that if he was for that hand.....

Well said. Couldn't have said it better.

Rose was a classy guy. Despite his contract and how much he was being paid, I enjoyed him torching the Knicks and being our leading scorer.. Ahhh how I miss the losing Raptor days....

if you want your Jalen Rose fix, just watch the NBA "where amazing happens" commercial where "81 points happens." Kobe is shooting over Rose. :(

Rose is one of my favorite Raptors player of all time. I remember a game in our 27 win season when Bosh got 6 fouls against Sacramento and a technical, and then Rose made up for it with the game winning shot.
