It's hard to tell right now. They have been up and down. Right now I would say MAYBE, but its very tough to tell who will come out of the west right now. It will be very interesting to see what team picks it up after the all-star break.

It's possible, if they continue to play like they are currently playing. Though I find it hard to believe that they will continue on their recent pace. The Okur/Boozer front court is always going to be an Achilles heel on defense against top flight front court scoring. Until that changes, I don't see them taking 4 games against San Antonio, Los Angeles, (possibly) Phoenix, Detroit or Boston.

They have the talent to do so... but they will need Boozer to play better defense, and same goes with Okur. They basically need to really come together, and play strong team defense, especially on the road. I wouldn't say they are a total real contender, but they are a soft contender if that makes sense.

I think they need a solid interior defensive presence, to alter shots and drives and block shots. Other than that, I like them a lot. Legit, top team, can realistically make it out of R1, and will give just about any team they face a tough series.
