WHo do we know or Think is available via trade
I didn't think Shaq would be dealt, but Marion was rumored for a while.
Who do we know / think is available via trade - especially at the #3 or #1?
AK47? Watson?

Well on ESPN Insider they are saying that AK47 is "ready" to be dealt. In my opinion, he's the player the Bucks should be looking at above all others. He brings interior defense and scoring that doesn't fully rely on jumpshots.
Looking at the wiretap, it appears that Cassell would be available but he's interested in the Celtics. I think for a team like the 76ers, players like Andre Miller will always be available. If the Bucks truly want a distributing PG, then perhaps he is the way to go.
I think we're blessed with the play of Mo and CV of late. Their trade value increases with every game.

AK47 can do a lot of things... But being a scorer is not one of them.
He can score a high percentage if he averages 10-13 points.

Those are the ones I can think of who either demanded or requested a trade, or have been heavily involved in trade rumours in the last few months.

I think Mike Miller or Andres Nocioni would be great. I can't really see anybody else on there that makes us much better.
I don't think Odom would still be available. They have a pretty nice team now after their big guy gets back.
I think Noc would actually be a great pick up for us. Espcially if was CV and stuff for him. Noc takes it to the hoop, makes hustle plays, shoots well, and is an overall BA on the court.

I think Mike Miller will be shopped for expiring contracts, it looks like Memphis is trying to sell the team.
Miami can't turn around and trade Matrix again right?
I think there are any number of players available from Portland since they have a full roster, lots of players overseas, and lots of pick this year.
I think Seattle would listen to offers for anyone other than the two rookies.
Tis the year to have expiring contracts.

Chad Ford seems to think the Jazz are still willing to deal Kirilenko for the right package. He mentioned the Magic possibly offering a deal involving Turkoglu and expirings. Not sure the Bucks offering Redd for Kirilenko/Brewer would be able to top that given the number of expiring deals the Jazz would receive.
The Bucks are stuck in a lot of ways because they don't have anything of value to offer in the way of expiring deals. They had the motherload last season but didn't do anything with them. That may have been a great chance to make a big move but they stayed pat and tanked instead.

Pretty much anyone not on "Bill Simmons 40 Highest Trade Value column" is available. And even 8 or 10 of those could be had, with amazing offers.
Did any of us think Shaq had any trade value? Did any of us think the Griz would give away Gasol for cap relief? Couldn't any one of us have brokered a better deal for thet TWolves than what McHale got for KG?
The point is that the NBA is run (for the most part) by people who are freakin nuts. And you just never know when you are going to call another GM who is a thread away from making a nuthouse type deal.
I don't think we can specualte about who is available and who is not. We just never know.
For example.. I heard that the Shaq - Marion trade was made by the owners (Sarver and Arrison). And that the Ben Wallace signing was brokered exclusively by Bulls Chairman Jerry R and Wallace's agent Arm Tellum. Furthermore, Chris Wallace dumped Gasol on strict orders from owner Michael Hiesley. So when deals hit that seem incredibly asinine and one sided from a talent perspective... it is often because of the dollars and contracts involved.
So who is available? Pretty much anyone not named LeBron, Dwight, or Chris Paul. It just takes the right offer on the right day.

I heard Harris allude to this tonight in regards to Memphis and Gasol, that ownership basically wanted the team to move in a different direction and in a way, Harris i thought was implying that any thoughts of blowing up the Bucks with a big move wasn't in his hands, it was up to Kohl. I know, big shocker there.

Odds are Harris can't even trade a backup like Villanueva without the consent of Kohl/his buddies, so Larry being able to make an even bolder move on his own with say Redd isn't possible.

that's what ernie did before he left. he was ordered to trade Cassel, so he did, and then he packed his bags. At the time I thought Ernie basically gave Cassell away then it became clear that Ernie already had one foot out the door and he really didn't care what he got in return. the same may happen with harris. Kohl may order harris to trade a player on his way out the door as well. For some odd reason i see a very lopsided bucks trade on the horizon where the Bucks give away a talented player and receive bogus in return much like the francis for randolph deal. although some say portlnd got the better end of that deal. I could honestly see the Bucks trading Redd for somebody like Mourning and Smush Parker.
