"good" being a relative term in this case of course. I thought Battier made LBJ work for his points at least. You've obviously seen LBJ a lot more than I have this season, so would you say he had to work harder than usual for them?

Honestly, I didnt think Battier was all that much a factor(on defense). I do respect him though and think highly of him as a defender. LeBron shot a good percentage tonight with probably 3-4 bailout shot attempts due to terrific team defense by the Rockets. Battier was not bad though, don't take it that way. I'm spoiled as heck watchin LBJ most every game. He just makes our whole offense go to a point, he has to work hard every night. Or our offense doesn't work. I put more emphasis on team defense against him, which you did well. Battier made up for it by making LeBron pay on defense when he'd undercut screens. Battier has too good of a shot to give him that space. Also, I wish we had Varejao in this one just to see him and Scola go at it. I felt that's the matchup we missed out on most, seeing Scola chase down those long rebounds.

Did anyone think it was funny when Yao said to Sager, "Happy New Year to you too."

Me and my friends laughed hard when he said that.

LOL I found Craig Sager's report on the Rockets shooting woes hilarious. He talked to Rockets management about T-Mac's shooting woes at home and they:

T-Mac said the rims were too tights, so they

1) took the rims from their practice court upstairs and switched them

Then T-Mac said it was the depth perception, so they

2) explained to T-Mac that Toyota Center should not have that problem (seats are closer and more caved in, giving ->better-< depth perception)

3) Then they showed T-Mac a ton of statistics which indicated that only him and Head shoot significantly worse at thome.

It's pretty funny the lengths they took to appease/convince T-Mac, and also funny about all the stuff T-Mac was pulling out his...

Yeah... that Sager segment was not kind to McGrady at all. But if you pull out a lame excuse like "depth perception" to explain shooting woes, you probably deserve it.

Sager has always hated McGrady, no surprise really.

Great win, Yao hit some big shots, Bonzi came off the bench with a huge spark, Alston and Battier also stepped up very nicely. McGrady played and thankfully he didn't really force anything.

The rebounding was fantastic and the main reason why we won this game.

Oh comeon this is funny. Mac and his excuses. I don't care really b/c if we do anything in the playoffs we are gonna be doing it on the road. Not at home.

Did anybody watch the game? I went to a study group after school, so I missed the game.

Was there lion dance in the Toyota Center? It was Chinese new year, right?

I think Tracy has a great excuse with the whole depth perception thing. His lazy eye screws everything up.

Props for the Rockets , we wanted it more and we got it.
Our next game is tougher than it seems , the Hawks are also figthing for a playoff spot and they just beat LA.
A very similar team to Portland they are only with less shooters.
