Like I said no toughness and professional pride. They are not hurt at all a le ot of them. They know it is the trade deadline and for whatever reason do not want to be moved once they see their names in the rumor mill.

Bobby Simmons came here wanting to stay close to Chicago so he is one of the main culprits of this and so is Redd.

Bogut is right. They are not hurt. It is not really the trainers and medicine is a case of heart and determination and growth.

Tracy McGrady played tonite with the flu...and various ailments. That man has grown so much in the last 3 years it is a marvel.

I am so proud of young guns like him respecting the game, respecting their profession and their teamates and giving their fans and the league all they have.

And Tracy is one of many who suck it up and play to win! Oh that we could get some ballers like that on this team...

Many around here talk about 'character' and this or that, but what about some toughness and committment as well, which can be components of character as well?

How bout' it?

Larry: The trading deadline is coming up......We are looking...we are active now....there are things this team needs......but we aren't going to "blow it up". I think seeing the core players of Mike, Mo, Andrew and Yi are the four core pieces.......four players we can look forward to and be excited about.

Stop stop stop stop....stop!

Stop it Larry Harris! Just stop...

Russell: "We gone nowhere with Redd for many years." Now this is a very accurate statement...

Harris: "We have struggled to score points"...blah blah blah... No you are not! YOU ARE STRUGGLING TO WIN GAMES.....period!

Why is the first thing out of his mouth is scoring points!? What about some defense, rebounding, and ball movement, and half court execution!?

You are struggling offensively because you are taking bad shots and not getting good ones and overdribbling!

Then you miss and are not getting back on transition defense and lack the neccessary leadership!

Get your facts straight and come to grips with your own team. That is what separates guys like Kevin Pritchard and Steve Kerr from Harris.

They take honest and hard looks at their teams and rightly perceive of who and what they are and lack and they address it!

Now watered down jellyfish excuses and foolishness. Answer the question that Russell posed!

Redd has not gotta it done. Forget scoring! Move the ball and teach Mo and Bell how to thrown a gosh darn ENTRY PASS AND then move their ass off the ball and at

That is the frightening bit. Really, why should skilled players have to wait for a guy with practically no experience to become a coach? Someone with 10 to 15 years as an assistant would get some slack ... oh, hang on ... Terry?
A total baffoon. Incompetance...

Hiring a coach like that was what I told you all was the death knell of this team if you wanted to win ...NOW.

You do not hire a guy like Krystokwiak if you want to win this year and then draft a guy like Yi to coach him.

I am so depressed with this situation I dont know why I came back in here....

WTF? This is the exact same post you just made except you added a paragraph and added a **** load of emoticons. This is right up there with replying to yourself.

As for what Harris has been saying. Whatever. Nobody is buying anything this franchise is saying and won't until something changes. And it sounds like the only way anything is going to change is new ownership and we all know Kohl won't sell without a new arena that he never brings up and is unwilling to pay for himself we're in for a long stretch of crappiness.

Movieman wrote:If Kohl and his cronies are preventing him from assembling the team he really wanted instead of the team he settled for, Harris certainly doesn't avoid publicly defending all these moves that were forced on him.

He constantly talks about how young the team and the coach is. Why after all these years does he continue to build around very young players and an inexperienced coach? I get it in year 1 of your regime, and you are in full rebuilding mode but ... now you're on your 3rd coach. All you have to be in the East is competent to make the playoffs (the only real goal this organization seems to have) and the team still stinks.

I also found it interesting that you responded to every Trade Redd comment that there was no way the Bucks were going to give him away. I don't know if trading Redd is the answer, but not every move is a salary dump. It might be possible to get some talent in return.

If multiple sub .500 teams end up making the playoffs in the East and the Bucks still are in the lottery - How can this not be the low point in the franchise history?
It is the same tired excuses of being too young.

That is BS! Portland is young! The Hornets are young! The Hawks are young! Young my foot....

THEY ARE NOT YOUNG!!! The core players all have at least 3-4 years of experience! Stop making excuses!

Playing winning basketball has no age limit upon it!

If you put the right players together and right system and coaching staff and if they buy into what you want to do that fits the style of your personnel then you win!

You got a young coach who comes in with a recipe to pro players! That are not gonna buy that!

You have to assembled the right players for the right coach or hire the right coach for the players that fit what he does and stick with him.

You had it right with Porter and TJ Ford...a proven winner and a proven winning PG and difference maker!

And you had two lottery picks and contracts to move to get the pieces around them to win and you did not for whatever reason.

Those are facts. It has nothing to do with being young. Basketball is just basketball!

THIS TEAM NEEDS THERAPY

They are just full of excuses, we have traded players in the past who were our leading scorer (Allen), so whats the issue.

We need more then one player to fix this this team and by trading Redd we could get the players we need. We have the players to cover Redd's points what we don't have is balance.

Trade either Redd, Yi or Bogut (they are the only ones with trade value who don't have a BYC) to get this balance and we will be a better team.

Nice work recapping Press. Thanks.

What I took from this is 2 things.

Claims the core of the team to be Mo-Redd-Yi-Bogut. Sounds about right. Giving credence to CV being on the block.

I like that he said he was active in trade talks. This team will not evolve completely with this core group and we all know it. Granted he may only be looking to move the likes of CV, Simmons and Gadz, but much like the TJ trade once the other team says no, but we are interested in say Mo or Redd than it may turn into a trade that could really help this team improve.

I am of the opinion, as are most that the Mo-Redd backcourt cannot coexist. I am however probably in the minority wanting to move Mo over Redd due to his terrible defense at the point of attack. A defensive minded PG would do wonders for us. Too bad Charlie has had such a terrible year.

Good point about Portland......I agree this core doesn't need more time together....it's terribly flawed.....
